The Department of Trade and Industry Pangasinan Provincial Office, headed by Acting Assistant Regional Director Natalia B. Dalaten, in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) - Pangasinan Chapter, conducted an Orientation on Basic Accounting at the DTI Pangasinan Conference Room on July 22, 2026. President of PICPA – Pangasinan Chapter, Ms. Evelyn Joy R. Estrada, CPA, provided MSME owners in the Province of Pangasinan with knowledge on the basics of accounting to help them keep accurate business records.

As part of the 2026 MSME Development Week with the theme, "Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-ready MSMEs," the DTI-Pangasinan successfully conducted the Digital Content Creation for Effective Product Branding and Promotion for MSMEs on July 06, 2026, at the DTI Pangasinan Provincial Office, Dagupan City.
The training featured Ms. May Ann L. Campaner as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights and practical techniques on creating compelling digital content to strengthen product branding, enhance online visibility, and effectively promote businesses across various digital platforms. Through her engaging discussions and hands-on learning sessions, participants gained practical skills to create impactful digital content that resonates with today's consumers.

🤝 Building Partnerships. Empowering Futures.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pangasinan and Universidad de Dagupan officially commenced the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing for the Google Coursera Certificate Program today at the 6th Floor, AVP Building, UDD. This milestone partnership reflects a shared commitment to equipping students, faculty, and non-academic personnel with globally recognized, industry-driven digital skills essential for the future workforce.
The ceremony was unexpectedly interrupted during the inspirational message of Assistant Regional Director Natalia B. Dalaten when an Intensity II earthquake was experienced in the area.
In response, Chief Operating Officer and Dean of SITE Jann Alfred A. Quinto promptly led the orderly evacuation of students, faculty members, staff, guests, and participants, ensuring that everyone's safety remained the highest priority. The calm, organized, and disciplined response of the entire Universidad de Dagupan community demonstrated the University's commitment to preparedness and resilience.
Although the program was cut short, the message that Chief Operating Officer Jann Alfred A. Quinto had prepared perfectly reflected the significance of the partnership:

His prepared message emphasized that meaningful partnerships create meaningful opportunities and reaffirmed Universidad de Dagupan's commitment to advancing innovation, digital inclusion, and lifelong learning alongside DTI and Google.
While the ceremony was momentarily paused by nature, the vision behind this partnership remains steadfast. Together, DTI Pangasinan and Universidad de Dagupan continue to champion digital transformation, workforce development, and lifelong learning through the Google Coursera Certificate Program.
