Malampusong nahuman ang BUHING BAHANDI: Tinap-anan & Kasahos Making Workshop isip kabahin sa Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, nga adunay tema nga “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

Ang maong kalihokan nahimong malampuson pinaagi sa paningkamot, inisyatibo, ug suporta sa Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), nga padayong nagmugna og mga programa nga naghatag og oportunidad sa kabatan-onan nga makat-on, makasinati, ug makapreserbar sa mga tradisyonal nga kahanas sa atong komunidad.

Dako usab ang atong pasalamat sa mga SK Officials nga gipanguluhan ni Hon. Mhel Stephen Batucan ug sa tanang kabatan-onan nga miapil ug mitampo sa kalampusan sa workshop. Pinaagi sa inyong pagpanguna ug aktibong partisipasyon, napadayon ang usa ka tradisyon nga nagrepresentar sa atong lokal nga kultura, identidad, ug panulondon.

Ang BUHING BAHANDI usa ka pagpamatuod nga ang kultura mahimong ipadayon kung adunay kabatan-onang andam makat-on ug mga lider nga andam mosuporta ug mohimo og paagi aron kini mapreserbar.

Salamat, Sangguniang Kabataan, sa inyong padayong pagbarog alang sa kabatan-onan ug sa paghatag og luna aron ang atong kultura magpabiling buhi. 🤲💙

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) actively participated in the 𝐌𝐢𝐝-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) held on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 20, 2026, at the 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.

The activity provided an avenue to assess the progress of GAD programs, accomplishments, and initiatives, while strengthening collaboration among local government offices and stakeholders in advancing gender-responsive governance and inclusive development.

Through meaningful participation and continuous coordination, the LYDO remains committed to supporting programs that promote equality, inclusivity, empowerment, and meaningful participation—especially among the Kabatan-unang Danaoanon.

This initiative is also aligned with the direction of our City Government.
As emphasized by 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 “𝐍𝐢𝐭𝐨” 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈 in his 2026 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, one of the key directions of his administration is the 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚, including stronger connectivity with the Kabatan-unang Danaoanon.
And within that vision is a very important principle:

Through PAGTUKIB, the LYDO with the ABTIK-Trainors in partnership with Sangguniang Kabataan Federation - Danao City, Cebu Danao City Youth Commission - DCYC and the COMELEC - Danao continues to promote civic awareness and youth participation by creating spaces where Kabatan-unang Danaoanon can learn, ask questions, and engage in conversations that matter.

The Danao City Youth Development Office would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the Colegio de San Antonio de Padua for graciously allowing us to conduct the kick-off of the Voters Education Forum in your institution.

Workshop and Seminar

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) participated in the Danao City Freedom of Information (FOI) Ordinance No. 2023-1-020 Workshop and Seminar held on August 19, 2026, at the Danao City Training Center.

The activity provided an avenue to deepen awareness and understanding of Freedom of Information, promoting transparency, accountability, and responsible access to public information.

Through continuous learning and capacity-building, the LYDO remains committed to supporting good governance and empowering the youth to become informed, responsible, and active partners in community development.
