Strengthening Judicial Coordination: Danao City PPO Meets with RTC Branch 92, Danao City

Last September 2, 2026, the Danao City Parole and Probation Office, led by Chief Probation and Parole Officer Ronilfa S. Paradiang, held an essential coordination meeting with Honorable Judge Dinah Jane P. Gaceta-Portugal of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 92, Danao City.

The dialogue focused on harmonizing operations between the bench and the probation office, covering Case Updates & Monitoring, Operational Concerns and Judicial Alignment.

The collaborative session was also attended by key court personnel represented by the Clerk of Court, Atty. Enriquez, together with Danao City PPO staff SPPO Sheila Lorena S. Conde, PPO II Christian B. Abarca, and ADA IV Novah C. Gimenez.

The Danao City Parole and Probation Office conveys its sincere gratitude to Judge Gaceta-Portugal and the staff of RTC Branch 92, Danao City for their continuous accommodation, open communication, and shared dedication to an efficient, responsive, and humane justice system.

A Legacy of Service. A Legacy of Second Chances.

From 2023 to the first semester of 2026, the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) acted on 5,747 Parole and Executive Clemency investigation referrals from the Board of Pardons and Parole.

During the same period, 2,661 Parolees and Conditional Pardonees successfully completed supervision, while only 0.70% (2023-Q2 2026 average) of the Parole supervision caseload was revoked for violations of parole conditions.

These milestones reflect Atty. Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr.’s stewardship of PPA’s Parole and Executive Clemency services – a legacy of dedicated leadership and service that advanced rehabilitation, responsible reintegration, and meaningful second chances. # # #

SHAPING FUTURE CRIMINOLOGISTS: CAREER TALK AT COLEGIO DE SAN ANTONIO DE PADUA

On August 26, 2026, the Danao City Parole and Probation Office engaged with future criminologists during a Career Talk held at the Colegio de San Antonio de Padua.

Chief Probation and Parole Officer Ronilfa S. Paradiang and Probation and Parole Officer II Christian Abarca served as resource speakers, sharing valuable information into the roles, responsibilities, and public service mission of a Probation and Parole Officer. The career path of a Probation and Parole Officer was emphasized and the current lack of officers in the agency, encouraging the future criminologists to consider the work in community corrections for their future career.

The talk guided senior Criminology students preparing for their upcoming on-the-job training, with the Danao City Parole and Probation Office as one of the prime internship training ground. Through this immersion, aspiring criminologists gain firsthand experience in community-based corrections, case management, and the vital work of redeeming lives and restoring relationships.

A heartfelt thank you to the administration and faculty of the College of Criminal Justice Education at Colegio de San Antonio de Padua for the warm welcome and partnership! We look forward to welcoming the next batch of student interns into our team.
