Project GIN-AWA: Gearing Innovation Towards Nurturing a Holistic Approach on Wellness for All Abreños!

The Provincial Health Office - Abra(PHO), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Danglas headed by Mayor Esther B. Bernos and Vice Mayor Atty. Russell A. Bragas and SK Danglas led by SK Fed President Onofrank Franco successfully conducted the Project GIN-AWA at Western Abra National High School. It aims to promote early detection and intervention, improve overall well-being, and support access to treatment. This includes recognizing signs of mental health conditions in oneself and others, encouraging open conversations, and advocating for better understanding and resources.

Present on the said activity is our Committee Chairman on Health and Education Hon. Joanette B. Cay-an, from Danglas RHU Ma'am Greta A. Dagmil and Ma'am Joy Marcel V. Layugan who conducted IEC on Mental Health Awareness, present also our trained Peer Facilitators from other Municipalities Hon. Ciara Felimar Blando, SK Federation President of Municipality of Lagayan, Hon. Cristian A. Borce, Sk Chairperson of Brgy. Mudeng, La Paz and Ma'am Trizee Rose T. Cabanaoan from Municipality of Dolores.

Mental health matters. It's time to break the stigma. Let's talk about it, let's support each other and let's prioritize our well-being. You are not alone, and it's okay to not be okay. Take care of your mind, body, and soul, and encourage others to do the same. Together, we can create a more supportive and inclusive community.Take care of yourself, and prioritize your mental health.

Closing with Purpose, Moving Forward with Hope!

As we wrap up the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 with the theme “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond,” we are reminded that the strength of our community lies in the passion of its youth.

Our Tree Planting Activity and Clean-up drive at Sitio Abot, Abauid, Danglas symbolizes growth, renewal, and our shared duty to care for the environment, while the Awarding of Winners highlights the creativity, brilliance, and perseverance of our young achievers.

LINGGO NG KABATAAN 2025 Day 4. . .
Feeding Program!

"Feeding the future, one meal at a time! 🍲 Today, The Local Government Unit of Danglas headed by Mayor Esther B. Bernos and Vice Mayor Atty. Russell A. Bragas thru the Local Youth Development Office and Sangguniang Kabataan came together to serve meals to our Kinder Garten and School-Based Feeding Program Beneficiaries from Manganip Elementary School, Padangitan Elementary School and Danglas Central School, Child Development learners in Pangal and nutritionally at-risk students of Western Abra National High School, because we believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive. Our feeding program is more than just a meal - it's about providing hope, nourishing bodies, and empowering minds. We're grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in our community, and we're proud to be part of a movement that's changing lives.

What an impactful Day 3 of our Youth Week Celebration!
Under this year’s theme, “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond,” today’s activities truly demonstrated how committed and involved our youth are in shaping a better future for our community.

Activities included:

• Anti-Terrorism Awareness
• Municipal Ordinances Overview
• HIV/AIDS Awareness
• Teenage Pregnancy Prevention
• Basic Life Support Training
