RHU DAPA CELEBRATES NUTRITION MONTH WITH SNDJA PDLs! ๐Ÿฅฆ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฉบ

The Dapa Rural Health Unit successfully brought essential health and nutrition education to the Surigao del Norte District Jail Annex (SNDJA) Dapa) on July 17, 2026, in observance of National Nutrition Month.
Our very own health experts led the seminar for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs):

* Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO)
* Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator (MNPC)

The discussion equipped PDLs with 3 Daily Nutrition Tips to prevent and manage chronic lifestyle diseases like Hypertension and Diabetes:

1. โ˜€๏ธ Maximize Go, Grow, and Glow: Fuel the body with a complete, balanced plate of energy-giving grains, muscle-building proteins, and vitamin-packed vegetables.
2. ๐Ÿง‚ Iwasan ang Aksaya, Bawas Alat at Tamis: Promote zero food waste while cutting back heavily on sodium and sugar to keep blood pressure and glucose levels in check.
3. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Galaw-Galaw at Bawas Stress: Stay active with regular physical movement to lower stress levels and maintain ideal cardiovascular health inside the facility.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the SNDJA Management for inviting the RHU team and providing a platform to share this vital life-saving knowledge. Thank you for prioritizing the comprehensive health, nutrition, and well-being of the PDLs under your care! ๐Ÿคโค๏ธ

As part of our continuing commitment to equitable and compassionate healthcare, our dedicated team conducted its second medical outreach at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), strengthening our ongoing partnership in promoting the health and well-being of persons deprived of liberty.

During the activity, the RHU Dapa team provided medical consultations, health assessments, medication dispensing, and health education, ensuring continuity of care while addressing the health needs of the facility's residents.

This second visit reflects our dedication to extending healthcare beyond the walls of traditional facilities and reaching underserved populations with compassion, respect, and quality service. Through sustained outreach efforts, we continue to promote disease prevention, early detection, and better health outcomes for every member of our community.

Together, we continue to build a healthier and more inclusive societyโ€”one visit, one patient, and one community at a time. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅ
