Ngayong araw, nagbibigay-pugay ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa lahat ng bayaning Pilipino mula sa mga nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa ating kalayaan hanggang sa mga patuloy na naglilingkod nang buong puso para sa bansa.

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang, kinikilala rin natin ang magigiting na bayani ng ibaโ€™t ibang sektor, kabilang ang ating mga g**o at kawani na katuwang natin sa pagsig**o ng maayos na kalidad ng edukasyon para sa mga Pilipinong mag-aaral.

Isinagawa ngayong Agosto 27, 2026 ng Monitoring, Evaluation, and Inspection Team (MEIT) mula sa Schools Division Office (SDO) ang ocular inspection at beripikasyon ng mga dokumento para sa aplikasyon ng Government Recognition ng mga pribadong Senior High School (SHS). Alinsunod sa Memorandum ng Sangay Blg. 296 s. 2026, layunin ng gawaing ito na tiyakin ang kalidad ng edukasyon at ang buong pagsunod ng mga paaralan sa mga pamantayan ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon.

Kasalukuyang ginaganap ang inspeksyon sa Mindanao Auto & Technical Skills Training Center, Inc. (MATSTCI) kasama sina Education Program Supervisor (EPS) Jimmy B. Gahuman at Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS) Nueva A. Andag na kabilang sa mga miyembro ng MEIT. Bago ang mismong ocular inspection, inatasan ang mga pinuno ng mga pribadong SHS, kabilang din ang Rizal Memorial Institute of Technology Inc. PIร‘AN, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE โ€” The Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office IX hosted a two-day "Regional Adopt-a-School Training cm PTA/Partners Forum" from August 26 to 27, 2026, at Manuel Resort in Piรฑan. Guided by the theme "Let your voices be heard!", the forum gathered key education leaders, stakeholder coordinators, and community representatives to discuss crucial updates and strategies for resource mobilization. Led by Regional Director Dr. Ronelo Al K. Firmo, CESO IV, and Assistant Regional Director Dr. Gregorio Cyrus R. Elejorde, CESO lV, the first day highlighted overview sessions on the Adopt-a-School Program, actionable frameworks for high-impact partnerships, and updates on Republic Act 12009 (the New Government Procurement Act). The afternoon sessions and workshops focused on matching community strengths with school priorities and expanding the local partnership ecosystem across government, private sectors, alumni, and civil society.

The concluding day focused on effective stakeholder engagement, program design for learning and infrastructure improvement, and practical application through "The LINK Blueprint" workshop for division-level roadmaps. A major highlight was the election and oath-taking ceremony of the Regional Partnerships Officers, facilitated by Project Development Officer IV Kathleen Joy B. Padilla, establishing a structured leadership framework for regional initiatives. To ensure continuity, participating stakeholders established regional partnership agenda for the year and formalized their commitment .The event reaffirmed DepEd Region IXโ€™s push to bridge resource gaps, foster transparent governance, and deliver accessible, quality education for every learner across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
