𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓:
The Local Government of Daraga through the Public Employment Service Office successfully conducted the Daraga Fiesta Job Fair 2026 on September 4, 2026 at the Daraga Covered Court.
The event aims to connect local and overseas job seekers directly with employers to help reduce unemployment in the municipality. For employers, it gives them the opportunity to screen, interview and potentially hire candidates on the spot for multiple open positions. For the job seekers, it gives them a chance to be screened/interviewed by multiple companies in a single day, saving time and application costs.
Before the job fair proper a short program was held highlighted by messages of inspiration and encouragement to the job seekers and support to employers from DOLE Albay Head, Ms Marilyn Luzuriaga and Daraga PESO Manager Mr. Rey Josef Lawenko.
The Department of Migrant Workers represented by Ms. Steffi Grace Moran, conducted a Pre-Employment Orientation Seminars (PEOS) for those jobseekers who are planning to work abroad.
Muncipal Mayor Victor U. Perete also graced the event during the job fair proper and visited the different tables of the employers.
All in all, the event drew a total of 516 registered applicants. A total of 17 local employers and 2 overseas employers as well as 4 government agencies participated in the job fair.
The employers generated a total of 774 vacancies. At the end of the activity a total of 70 applicants were hired-on-the spot (HOTS).
