Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1372 dated 29 July 2026, every third week of August will mark the City of Davao’s annual celebration of Kadayawan Festival and Indigenous Peoples Day. It is but fitting and proper that people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.

In view thereof, work in the Regional Office – Davao City is hereby suspended on 14 AUGUST 2026, FRIDAY.

Online Oathtaking of the New Professional Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Certified Plant Mechanics

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the new Professional Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Certified Plant Mechanics that the conduct of the online oathtaking will be on July 31, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., which will be spearheaded by PRC-National Capital Region via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Inductees shall wear formal or business attire and use a white backdrop (white physical or virtual background) throughout the oathtaking ceremony.

07, 08 and 09 AUGUST 2026

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO EXAMINEES
1. Check or verify your school/building assignments at the PRC official website (www.prc.gov.ph) one (1) or two (2) days before the examination. Bring your NOTICE OF ADMISSION when you verify your school/building assignment. Visit your school/building assignment prior to the day of the examination.
2. On the day of the examination, report to the school/building assignment not later than 6:00 A.M. to verify your Room and Seat number. Be punctual. Late examinees will not be admitted.
3. Examinees are required to wear the following attire on examination day:
Male examinees - Tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); Decent pants or slacks.
Female examinees - Tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) Decent pants or slacks, pony-tailed hair.
4. Read carefully and follow the instructions on your NOTICE OF ADMISSION and EXAMINEES GUIDE.
Personal belongings brought by an examinee shall be for his/her own account. The PRC will not be answerable for any such item or personal belonging that might be lost during the examination without fault or negligence on its part.

Relative to this, all examinees of Davao City are required to bring the following:
1. Notice of Admission (NOA)
2. Ballpens with black ink only
3. Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
4. One (1) piece long brown envelope
5. One (1) piece long transparent / non-colored plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items).
6. For pregnant examinee, submit clearance from the OB-Gynecologists.
 Clearance should indicate that the examinee is cleared to take the licensure examination.

7. Non-programmable CALCULATOR (Please refer to Commission Resolution No. 1809-2024 or the Updated List of Non-Programmable Calculators allowed to be used in the Licensure Examinations.)
PURSUANT TO PRC MEMORANDUM DATED 21 MAY 2026, ANY MODIFICATION, ALTERATION, ENHANCEMENT, OR RELEASE OF A NEW VERSION OF THE CALCULATOR MODELS ENUMERATED UNDER ANNEX “A” OF THE AFOREMENTIONED RESOLUTION SHALL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY DEEMED APPROVED FOR USE IN LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS.
Only the original version of the calculator models under Annex A may be used. The second version and any subsequent versions are not allowed.
NOTE: ONLY ONE (1) CALCULATOR PER EXAMINEE SHALL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE EXAMINATION ROOM. ALL CALCULATORS SHALL BE INSPECTED AND HAVE TO BE RESET BEFORE THE START OF THE EXAMINATION.
8. Packed snacks, meals, and necessary medications, including hygiene and sanitary kits, in TRANSPARENT/CLEAR containers/cellophanes (paper containers are not allowed), with sufficient drinking water supply for the day. The room watchers shall not allow any person, including food delivery service, to give or distribute food to any examinees while the examination is in progress. Except for restroom necessities, no examinee shall be allowed to leave the examination room during the conduct of examination.

2. Examinees are prohibited to bring and use SMART WATCHES, EYEGLASSES (such as Ray-ban, prescriptive Meta AI glasses), CELLULAR PHONES, EAR PLUGS, TRANSMITTERS, PORTABLE COMPUTERS, BLUETOOTH, and other electronic gadgets/devices which may store or retrieve data/information and/or to communicate for whatever purposes
3. Examinees are prohibited to bring and use books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded data/information/formula.
4. Bags of any kind (ladies’ bag, shoulder bags, attaché case, backpacks, etc.) Place your documents inside the transparent/plastic envelope.
5. Other examination aides not stated in your program (watches, jewelry and any kind of accessories)
6. Bringing of prohibited items inside the examination venue will be considered as CHEATING or an ACT OF DISHONESTY. If an examinee is found guilty, his/her examination papers shall be cancelled and shall either be suspended or debarred from taking future examinations.

Davao City - The Professional Regulation Commission Regional Office Regional Office XI (PRC XI), together with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), conducted the Mass Face-to-face Oathtaking Ceremony of New CPAs on 22 July 2026 at the Grand Menseng Hotel. Present were the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy Member, Hon. Thelma S. Ciudadano, and PRC XI Licensure and Registration Division Officer-in-Charge, Ms. Maria C. Jadloc, who attended on the behalf of Regional Director Raquel R. Abrantes.

Hon. Ciudadano administered the oaths of one hundred eighteen (118) new CPAs. By subscribing to the Oath, the inductees pledge utmost adherence to their profession’s technical and ethical standards.

The inductees received words of congratulations from Dir. Abrantes, delivered to them by Ms. Jadloc. During her message, she also reminded them of post-oath duties and responsibilities.

PRC XI proudly welcomes the inductees to the Roster of Professionals. May the new CPAs remain vigilant and morally upright in the discharge of their duties, ensuring transparency, quality, and accountability in financial management.
