In the pre-colonial Philippines, Babaylans stood as important figures for wisdom and leadership. They served as advisers to the Datu in matters of spirituality, healing, and the natural world. They embodied both strength and gentleness, courage and compassion.
Today, Filipinas carry that same spirit. Across fields like science, medicine, leadership, and governance, women continue to break barriers and lead, standing EQUAL WITH MEN in shaping our nation’s future.
This Women’s Month, we at BCCAD celebrate a kind of leadership rooted in bravery, wisdom, empathy, and kindness, the very essence of a Filipina.
BABAE KA, hindi “babae lang.”
Lead with purpose. Lead with heart.
Lead like a Babaylan. đź’ś
