𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨, Acting Station Manager of Radyo Pilipinas Davao, together with 𝑴𝒔. 𝑽𝒊𝒏𝒂 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒂, Officer-in-Charge of PTV Mindanao Media Hub, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships with the media in promoting public awareness and transparency.

The activity was attended by 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐀, Chief of the Security and Control Section, together with JO2 Oscar II E Mundog, Liaison Officer/Unit SAO/Logistics JNOR and JO1 Chris Mark L Duray, CRS JNOR.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss future collaborations focused on utilizing the station's platform to disseminate accurate and timely information about the 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲'𝐬 programs, initiatives, and accomplishments. Through this partnership, DCJMD aims to keep the public informed about its rehabilitation efforts, security measures, community engagement activities, and other services that contribute to public safety and the successful reintegration of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

🧠Stress Management Activity💙

Under the leadership of 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐄 𝐆 𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, City Jail Warden, and with the support of 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄 𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐉𝐀𝐍, Assistant Warden, The Davao City Jail Male Dormitory (DCJMD) Health Service Unit (HSU) successfully conducted a Stress Management Activity for thirty-five (35) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). The activity was facilitated by 𝐉𝐎𝟏 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐂 𝐓𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐎𝟏 𝐑𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐋 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐬.

The activity aimed to equip PDL with practical stress management skills by promoting healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, and resilience. Through interactive discussions, mental health awareness sessions, and psychosocial interventions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the causes and effects of stress, as well as effective techniques for managing everyday challenges.

The program also introduced relaxation exercises and positive coping mechanisms that promote emotional well-being, strengthen resilience, and foster a healthier mindset. These initiatives form part of DCJMD's continuing commitment to promoting the holistic development, mental wellness, and successful rehabilitation of Persons Deprived of Liberty.

At DCJMD, we believe that caring for mental health is an essential step toward positive transformation and meaningful reintegration into society. During the meeting, both offices discussed potential collaborative programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). Various health-related concerns were also addressed, with the goal of strengthening the delivery of healthcare services and promoting preventive health measures within the facility.

As part of the visit, the Department of Health generously provided information, education, and communication (IEC) materials, including health awareness leaflets, for dissemination among the PDL. These materials will help increase awareness of various health programs, encourage healthy practices, and promote access to available government health services.

The courtesy visit further strengthened the partnership between Davao City Jail Male Dormitory and the DOH Davao Region, reaffirming their shared commitment to promoting quality healthcare, public health education, and the overall welfare of the PDL. In celebration of Nutrition Month, the personnel of the Davao City Jail – Male Dormitory (DCJ-MD) was invited for a Feeding Program of 20 students of Matina Aplaya Elementary School, reaffirming their commitment to promoting health, proper nutrition, and community service beyond the jail facility.

Under the leadership of 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐄 𝐆. 𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, City Jail Warden, and with the support of 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄 𝐋. Through practical discussions and hands-on demonstrations, the training reinforced the importance of discipline, competence, and accountability in the use of issued fi****ms.

This initiative further strengthens the competence and operational readiness of DCJMD personnel, ensuring they remain equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties with professionalism while upholding the highest standards of safety and security.

A total of approximately 170 BOXES of Lemon Square product from 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, with an estimated value of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱150,000.00) were received for the benefit of the PDL, held at BJMP Davao City Jail Male Dormitory . This initiative aims to augment the nutritional needs and overall welfare of the persons under custody.

This meaningful gesture reflects the spirit of compassion, cooperation, and shared responsibility in promoting the welfare and well-being of the PDL, reinforcing the commitment to provide humane and responsive custodial care.

As part of the continued implementation of Red Alert Status in relation to the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2026, under the leadership of 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐄 𝐆 𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, Jail Warden, the Davao City Jail – Male Dormitory (DCJ-MD) conducted another 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 to reaffirm the unit's operational readiness and commitment to public safety.

The activity was led by 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄 𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐉𝐀𝐍, Assistant Jail Warden, together with 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐀, Chief, Security and Control, who reminded all personnel of the significance of the Red Alert Status and emphasized the importance of vigilance, discipline, accountability, and immediate responsiveness while performing their duties.

Under the leadership 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐄 𝐆 𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, Jail Warden, and 𝐉𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄 𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐉𝐀𝐍, Assistant Warden, the Davao City Jail Male Dormitory, successfully received the 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍 𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒃𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒚 at the facility.

This initiative, made possible through the strong partnership between the City Government of Davao and DCJ-MD, reflects continued support for the welfare of jail personnel. A total of 90 𝑠𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑠 (50 𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑜𝑠) 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 30 𝑏𝑜𝑥𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠, with an 𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑜𝑓 ₱309,000.00, were delivered to the facility.
The turnover was facilitated by JO2 Oscar E Mundog II, Liaison Officer/Unit SAO/Logistics JNOR, together with JO1 Christian N Policarpio, Bus Driver,Escort, ensuring proper coordination and receipt of the said subsidy.

The facility also extends its heartfelt gratitude to 𝐇𝐨𝐧. Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, our Davao City Mayor, for his unwavering support and commitment to enhancing the welfare of BJMP personnel through this valuable assistance.

This meaningful collaboration highlights the importance of strong institutional linkages in promoting personnel welfare and morale within the jail facility.
