The DENR started the Manila Bay rehabilitation last January 27, 2019 with programs such as cleanup activities, relocation of illegal settlers and apprehension of establishments that violate the Philippine Clean Water Act and other environmental laws.

The Philippines is one of the worst offenders on marine pollution, 0.28 – 0.75 million tonnes of plastic were thrown in the oceans from the coastal areas in Manila Bay.

Chemical contamination along with mismanagement of trash very harmful to us humans and the marine environment, it poisons and kills the marine wildlife.

THE NEW NORMAL 🌱

The CoVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a pause, as quarantine measures are in effect to halt the spread of the virus. However, as the new normal kicks in, so does Mother Earth dazes the world as a better Earth comes anew with clearer skies and seas.

With this glimmer of hope, may we unite to catalyze change and stop the deterioration of our environment and end this global pandemic.
