We, the Barangay 5-A Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, would like to congratulate Ma'am Abegail Julia R. Supilanas, RSW, for passing the board exam for registered social worker.

Despite her busy schedule, the pressure she faces, countless hours of work, and days of fatigue, she chooses to continue overcoming her fears in order to achieve her dreams. Being a student, a working student, and a public servant is not easy because you have to balance the time and days for those things that you are doing.

We are very proud and happy for you, Abe, for achieving your goals and dreams in life for your better future. We see you as our role model, demonstrating that no matter how hard life gets, you should choose to pursue your dreams and achieve them someday. Congratulations, Abe, and good luck to your new journey of your story.

The Barangay 5-A Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office actively participated in the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), joining communities nationwide in strengthening earthquake preparedness and disaster resilience.

The drill aims to enhance the communityโ€™s awareness, preparedness, and response capabilities during an earthquake. It provides an opportunity for responders, officials, volunteers, and community members to practice the proper safety procedures, including โ€œDuck, Cover, and Hold,โ€ evacuation, emergency coordination, and other necessary response actions.

More than just a drill, the NSED reminds us that preparedness must begin before disaster strikes. Regular exercises help identify gaps, improve coordination, build confidence among respond an actual earthquake occurs.

Through the active participation of the Barangay 5-A BDRRMC, we continue to promote a culture of preparedness and strengthen our commitment to protecting lives and serving our community.
