Karun naa na tay festivals kada quarter like Duaw Davao sa June, Kadayawan sa August ug Pasko Fiesta sa December. Tama lang pud ni kay Davao City is so blessed that even ang 12 months kulang pa to celebrate every wonderful aspect of our city.
So karung June, let's all come out and celebrate Davao's culture, diversity and most especially, the feast of Davao's Patron saint, San Pedro!

Stillness is not easy. My mind keeps movingโ€”my heart keeps rushing.

But here, God is not asking me to carry everything on my own. He is asking me to stop striving and remember who He is.

To be still is to loosen my grip on what I cannot controlโ€”and remember that God is already reigning over it all.

And to know Him is to trust that He remains God even when life feels loud, uncertain, or unsettled.

Lord, quiet what is loud in meโ€”and teach me to rest in the truth that You are still on the throne. Amen.

I notice the things I keep going back to
slowly shape me. Some days, my thoughts wander. My heart feels pulled in different directions.

Iโ€™m still learning to come backโ€”not just once,but again and again. And slowly, to not just return, but to stay a little longerโ€ฆto listen, to let His Word settle in me.

Maybe a rooted life is not about being strong, but about returningโ€”quietly, steadily, and learning to find life here.
And over time, His Word holds me steady.

Godโ€™s Word gently shapes a steady lifeโ€”
even when Iโ€™m still learning to stay.

God, You see how easily I drift. Teach me to come back to You, and to find joy in staying with You. Amen.

During today's committee hearing on City-Owned Real Properties, na-update ta nga 19 out of 40 ka barangay ang nakapasa na sa ilang mga resolusyon sa Renaming of 40 numerically designated barangays sa Poblacion District. Naa pa sa proseso sa pag-consult ug pag paapprove ang ubang barangay. Na-discuss pud nato ang request ni Punong Barangay Joselito A. Cajes sa Barangay Baguio Proper alang sa pag propose og bag-ong Deed of Usufruct sa usa ka City-owned property nga nahimutang sa maong barangay aron mahan-ay ug ma-update ang mga record nga may kalabutan niini.

๐Ÿ“Œ On Third and Final Reading, an Ordinance was passed, granting Legislative Authority to the FY 2026 Supplemental Budget No. 1, of the City Government of Davao, Consisting of the General Fund Proper, Development Fund and the Economic Enterprises in the total amount of One Billion Two Hundred Fifty-Three Million Five Hundred Forty-One Thousand Fifty-Eight Pesos And 86/ 100 (P1,253,541,058.86)

๐Ÿ“Œ On Third and Final Reading, an Ordinance was passed Authorizing The City Mayor to Enter Into And Sign, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to be Entered Into by and Between the City Government of Davao and Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao for the Establishment of Research Collaboration, Student Exposure, Training and Capacity Building, and Technical Exchange Activities on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and Providing Guidelines for its Implementation

- DILI na kinahanglan!

- Subay sa Article 34 sa FAMILY CODE, EXEMPTED na sa pagkuha og marriage license ang mga magti-ayon nga nagLIVE-IN na sa lima (5) ka tuig nga:

1. wala pa gikasal
2. Naa na sa saktong edad na
3. Walay โ€œlegal impedimentโ€

- Kinahanglan mag-execute og JOINT AFFIDAVIT OF COHABITATION ang magti-ayon aron i-attest nga sila nag-uban sa usa ka panimalay continuously, and without any interruption sa sulod sa lima ka tuig.

- Dapat ma-CHECK and CERTIFY sa solemnizing officer or authorized magkasal nga walay LEGAL IMPEDIMENT sa couple nga gusto makasal.

- Ginatugutan kini sa balaod to encourage couples in long-term commitment to formally legalize ilahang panag-uban to ensure their properties and children are legally protected under the law.
