This initiative is a core part of the BFP’s FIRES program, which focuses on integrity monitoring and internal cleansing to protect the rights of both fire safety enforcers and the community. The Bureau of Fire Protection acknowledges the DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla’s pronouncements in his recent interviews. The bureau views them as a direct order to face the hard truths about our organization.
The corruption allegations mentioned by the Secretary are not just numbers. They represent betrayal of public trust and waste of taxpayer money intended for public safety.
Acknowledging that the Secretary has gathered evidence and plans to file cases against involved individuals, the BFP will fully support this process.
The BFP assures that actions, including administrative relief, suspension of inspections and the coming changes, are being done to end systems that allow extortions, and any form of corruption.
The BFP stands firm with its firefighters who risk their lives in fulfilling their duties and mandates. Cleansing the agency is a challenging but a necessary step to restore the honor of the badge we wear.
The Bureau trusts that these interventions will lead to a stronger and cleaner BFP.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – Davao City Fire District informs the public that a certain mobile number has been used to make prank calls to our emergency lines.

Please be reminded that prank calling emergency hotlines is a serious offense and disrupts our ability to respond to real emergencies.

Such acts may be penalized under relevant laws including Revised Penal Code Article 154 and Presidential Decree No. 1727.

Let us all act responsibly and help keep our emergency services available to those in need.

Hinihikayat ng BFP na huwag nang gumamit ng paputok; sa halip ay manood na lamang ng mga Community Fireworks Display o gumamit ng alternatibong paingay tulad ng torotot o videoke.
Nakahanda ang higit 31,000 bumbero sa buong bansa sa ilalim ng Oplan Paalala: Iwas Paputok. Huwag mag-atubiling tumawag sa Hotline 911 sa kahit na anong emergency.
