A pivotal meeting took place in BGC Taguig, where leaders of Salam Pilipinas and Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu convened to establish a partnership aimed at implementing the Salam Peace Movement (SPM). BALIK-ISLAM COUNCIL OF DAVAO CITY
Sa Davao City, isang malaking bilang ng mga indibidwal ang nagbalik sa Islam, na naglalayong muling tanggapin ang kanilang pananampalataya at maging aktibong bahagi ng Muslim community.
Sa pagsulong ng Nagkakaisang Balik Islam, naging patunay sila ng kapangyarihan ng pagkakaisa at pagkakaisang pananampalataya. Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga aktibidad at pagkakaroon ng isang matibay na komunidad, nagiging malakas at malawak ang impluwensya ng mga balik Islam sa Davao City. Nagiging mga modelo sila ng pag-unlad, pagiging produktibo, at paglilingkod sa lipunan, na nagpapakita ng mga halimbawa ng mga tunay na Muslim na may positibong ambag sa kanilang mga kumunidad.

With a total of 6,064,744 followers or 6.01% of the Philippines' total population, Islam is the second largest religion in Mindanao based on the result of the 2015 Census of Population (2015 POPCEN).
The Mindanao island group is home to majority of the Filipino Muslims in the Philippines. It is where 93% of the entire Islamic population resides.

Note: Not to mention the emerging growth of Muslim Reverts these are individuals and families who reverted back to Islam from other faiths which constitutes the increasing number of Muslim Filipinos in the country. However, the Balik-Islam or Muslim Reverts has been neglected and need to be recognized and represented in our diverse culture.
