𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫

To enhance agricultural productivity, improve water accessibility, and support the livelihoods of local farming communities, the ABEngrs conducted a water source survey in Upper Kibalang, Marilog Proper, Marilog District, Davao City, on July 2, 2026.

Engr. Francis Cabigas, Engr. Christan John Abrenica, and Engr. Evangelyn Peña, representing the ABE Division, conducted the site assessment. Their objective was to evaluate the feasibility of developing the spring and determine the appropriate design for the proposed project. They were accompanied by Marilog District ATs Jeffrey Comiso and Romer Loquias, as well as the chairperson and members of the D’ Green Belters 2012 Farmers Association. Based on the initial assessment, the site was deemed feasible for a spring development project. This project may be endorsed for funding once the necessary documentary requirements are met.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The ABEs of CAgrO–ABE Division provided technical assistance to DA RFO XI – RAED during the conduct of the acceptance testing of a multicultivator at Bukid Amara, Brgy. Baliok, Talomo District, Davao City, on June 29, 2026.

The acceptance testing was conducted prior to the machine's turnover to the beneficiaries to verify whether its actual specifications and field performance complied with the standards set under the PNS/BAFS/PABES. Present during the activity were Engr. Gilbert Iglesias, Engr. Karen Joy de los Reyes, and Engr. Czarjoy Dela Peña.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | 𝘌𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘜𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘘𝘎𝘐𝘚 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘈𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 (𝘈𝘉𝘌𝘴) 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯 — a training conducted for ABEs and AEWs across Davao Region by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Regional Training Center XI at Davao del Norte State College, Brgy. New Visayas, Panabo City, Davao del Norte, on June 22–26, 2026.

Representing the City Government of Davao, Engr. Ryan Michael Jamisola, Engr. Christan John Abrenica, and Engr. Evangelyn Peña participated in the five-day training to strengthen their skills in using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, particularly QGIS, for agricultural mapping and spatial analysis. Through lectures, hands-on exercises, and demonstrations, the participants enhanced their proficiency in thematic mapping, geoprocessing, raster analysis, satellite image interpretation, and GPS- and mobile-based data collection to support agricultural planning and decision-making.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Seven Manufacturers, Fabricators, Assemblers, Dealers, Distributors, Importers, and Exporters (MFADDIEs) in Davao City underwent After-Sales Service Compliance Monitoring (ASSCM) and Permit to Operate Compliance Monitoring (PTOCM) on June 16–18, 2026. The activity was conducted by the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE), in partnership with the SRE Sections of the ABE Division under DA RFO XI and CAgrO, to assess compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

The monitoring activity supports the implementation of RA 10601 (AFMech Law) and DA Circular No. 17, series of 2025, by ensuring that accredited entities fulfill their after-sales service obligations and maintain valid permits to operate. The evaluated MFADDIEs include Bencham Enterprises, Abomar Equipment Sales Corporation, Goliath Equipment Sales Corp., Antelomart Agri Trading, Basic Agri Industrial Sales, Ford Tractor Phils., Inc., and P.T. Cerna Corporation.
