The City Mayorโ€™s Office โ€“ Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) facilitated a Consultation Meeting on the SOCC Analytics and Reporting (SOAR) Database Management System for Children on July 27, 2026, at the CMO Conference Room.

The meeting brought together stakeholders to discuss the implementation and utilization of the SOAR Database System for Children, gather valuable feedback, and identify recommendations to further enhance the system. The consultation aimed to ensure that the database effectively supports data-driven planning, and monitoring for child-focused programs and services in Davao City. ๐Ÿ’™

The Executive Committee of the Davao City Council for the Protection of Children (DCCPC) gathered for its second quarterly meeting in the Green Conference Room at the Sangguniang Panlungsod on June 29, 2026.

The meeting featured updates from the Department of Education (DepEd) - Davao City and the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) on concerns previously raised by child representatives during the 1st quarter meeting. The council members were also updated on the 2026 DCCPC Annual Work and Financial Plan Utilization Status Report, the Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) Analytics and Reporting (SOAR) Database System for Children, and the 2026 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA).

During the latter part of the meeting, the council members approved a resolution from the City Level Child Representatives encouraging all Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPCs) to further strengthen their child protection programs in accordance with the amended Davao City Childrenโ€™s Welfare Code. This initiative reaffirms Davao City's continued commitment to promoting and protecting the rights, welfare, and best interests of every child. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

The Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) facilitated the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Davao City Council for the Protection of Children โ€“ Technical Working Group (DCCPCโ€“TWG) on June 23, 2026, at the Davao City Planning Office Conference Room.

During the meeting, the TWG revisited the Davao City Unified Referral System on Child Protection for Children at Risk (CAR) to review the revisions previously proposed by the group, validate the updates, and identify further areas for improvement. ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป

The TWG also reviewed the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) Referral System for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and discussed strategies for its effective localization and implementation in Davao City to ensure a more coordinated, responsive, and efficient referral process. โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

The City Mayorโ€™s Office โ€“ Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) facilitated the Citywide Workshop on the Development of the Comprehensive Barangay Juvenile Intervention Program (CBJIP) for the 182 Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPCs) in Davao City.

The workshop was attended by BCPC representatives, together with CSWDO District Heads and representatives, to strengthen the planning and development of responsive juvenile intervention programs for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and Children at Risk (CAR) at the barangay level. ๐Ÿ“

Through this activity, participants were guided in crafting strategic interventions and initiatives that promote the welfare, protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of children in conflict with the law and children at risk, contributing to safer and more child-friendly communities across Davao City. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ

The City Mayorโ€™s Office โ€“ Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) warmly welcomed ENS Nick Clarence M. Gallego, PN, a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Graduating Class of 2026, during a courtesy visit.

ENS Gallego previously served as a Child Representative of Barangay Paciano Bangoy from 2016 to 2018, where he actively participated in promoting child rights and welfare in Davao City. His journey from child leader to PMA graduate serves as an inspiration to young people, demonstrating the impact of meaningful child participation and leadership development.

He was accompanied by his father and Kgwd. Judith Albor of Barangay Paciano Bangoy during the visit.

The City Mayorโ€™s Office โ€“ Special Office for Childrenโ€™s Concerns (SOCC) facilitated the two-day Midterm Evaluation of the Davao City Development Plan and Investment Program for Children (DCDPIPC) 2026โ€“2028 cm Capacity Building for Davao City Council for the Protection of Children (DCCPC) Members on May 20โ€“21, 2026, at the World Palace Hotel, Davao City.

The activity was attended by DCCPC members together with Hon. Richlyn N. Justol-Baguilod, Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children, and Family Relations and Vice Chairperson of the DCCPC. ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป
