On May 20, 2026, the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) facilitated a Safety and Security Coordination Meeting in preparation for the upcoming Duaw Davao 2026 at the PSSO Conference Room.

The meeting was attended by members of the Safety and Security Cluster together with representatives from the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO). The CTOO presided over the discussion and presented the lineup of activities, including the floor plans and layouts of the event areas, as well as the designated parade routes. The Event Organizers of Official Duaw Davao Events likewise presented the same plans and requested the augmentation of medical personnel and heightened security visibility during the conduct of the activities.

Further discussed during the meeting were reminders from Task Force Davao regarding the observance of the culture of security, the strict implementation of frisking procedures, and the installation of posters containing the doโ€™s and donโ€™ts at the entrances of every event venue to ensure public safety and order throughout the celebration.
