Ayon sa Section 12 (J) ng RA 11900 o V**e Law at DAO 25-09, ilegal ang pagbenta ng v**e products na flavor descriptors na umaakit sa mga menor de edad. Para sa kumpletong listahan ng certified v**e products, bisitahin ang dti.gov.ph/dti-osmv o makipag-ugnayan sa pinakamalapit na DTI office sa inyong lugar.

DTI 11 joins DA 11, other government agencies in the Simultaneous Rice Monitoring Operations under EO 118

Demonstrating strong inter-agency collaboration to safeguard consumer welfare, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 11 actively participated in the simultaneous rice monitoring operations conducted across major public markets in the region led by the Department of Agriculture (DA) 11.

As the lead agency in agricultural price monitoring, the DA spearheaded this initiative with allies from DTI, Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), Philippine National Police (PNP-CIDG), and the local government unit of Davao to ensure full compliance with Executive Order No. 118, s. 2026. The directive establishes a nationwide temporary price ceiling of ₱50.00 per kilogram on imported regular and well-milled rice (5% broken).

During the joint inspection, the inter-agency monitoring team examined price tags and engaged with local rice retailers and wholesalers to evaluate overall market compliance.

This joint operation was activated to address unfair price hikes, deter illicit trading practices, and secure a steady supply of affordable rice for consumers without disrupting local market dynamics.

DA 11 Regional Director Macario Gonzaga urged retailers, wholesalers, and importers to follow the directives issued by the President.

DTI 11 will continue to provide full, active support to the DA's daily monitoring operations to protect the purchasing power of every consumer.
