DAVAO CITY โ€“ Following the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis N. Tolentinoโ€™s commitment to workplace safety as a fundamental right and shared responsibility, the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), through its Regional Extension Unit XI (REU XI), participated in the Inter-Agency Meeting on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) held on 28 July 2026 at the Fair Crown Suites, Davao City.

The quarterly meeting was conducted to strengthen the implementation of Republic Act No. 11058 or the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Law by promoting a culture of prevention, enhancing compliance to OSH standards, expanding capacity-building initiatives, and sustaining inter-agency collaboration to reduce workplace accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases. Included in the agenda were agency accomplishments, discussion on post-earthquake building safety evaluation led by the Office of the City Building Official, current OSH concerns, enforcement initiatives through the High Impact High Visibility Inspection to priority sectors, and plans to improve information dissemination, technical assistance and workplace inspections.
