𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐑𝐀𝐀

Partially blind athlete Nur Hamen Bunco of Davao Wisdom Academy turned adversity into strength after winning three gold medals in the DAVRAA Meet 2026.

The Grade 11 standout dominated the track and field events, capturing victories in the 100-meter run, running long jump, and shot put.

Inspired by the unwavering support of his parents and family, Bunco pushed himself to excel and prove that limitations do not define one’s potential.

His remarkable performance secured him a second journey to the Palarong Pambansa, where he hopes to bring even greater pride to his school and Davao City.

Determined to achieve more, Bunco shared, “I plan to triple my effort in training to achieve gold in the incoming Palarong Pambansa so that my parents, school, and Davao City will be proud of me.”

LOOK || The Red Cross Youth proudly joined the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) together with the faculty and staff, Supreme Student Government, and The Thinkers Club. This meaningful collaboration shows how our school community stands united in promoting safety and preparedness for everyone.

During the drill, students and staff practiced proper evacuation procedures and learned the importance of staying calm and alert during emergencies. It was a great reminder that preparedness saves lives — and that teamwork truly makes a difference.

The Red Cross Youth remains dedicated to supporting activities that strengthen awareness, readiness, and compassion within our school. Together, we are always ready to serve.
