The Davao Region Incident Management Team has once again been tapped to manage a planned event. This time, the Emergency Preparedness and Response Task Group for the Miss Earth 2016 will implement the Incident Command System.

The Mt. Apo Forest Fire has been contained and is now under control. The Davao Region Incident Management Team has transferred the command of the incident to the Local IMT headed by PENRO of Davao del Sur, and is now being demobilized.

The Davao Region Incident Management Team would like to extend its appreciation to all the volunteer groups and individuals, donors, government agencies, and non-government organizations for their critical and crucial action to help resolve the 2016 Mt. Apo Forest Fire Incident.

This incident has been dealt with using the Incident Management System (ICS). We enjoin everyone to be trained in using the Incident Command System for more organized and streamlined response operations in future incidents and planned events.
