A step toward healthier choices and a smoke-free generation. ๐
Last August 26, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Communal, through the Committee on Gender and Sensitivity headed by Hon. Ashley Nicole T. Daรฑas, successfully conducted a To***co Cessation Seminar in collaboration with the Communal National High School Teen Center, bringing young people together for an afternoon of learning and meaningful conversations about the harmful effects of smoking and va**ng.
The seminar was made more meaningful through the valuable knowledge and insights shared by our guest speakers, Maโam Shalee B. Morata, Nurse Joan I. Aguanta, PCpl Diana Ann Q. Manan, and PCpl Alvin Jay Melendres. Through their discussions, the participants gained a better understanding of the risks associated with to***co use and va**ng, as well as the importance of making informed and healthier choices.
More than simply knowing the risks, the activity encouraged the youth to become more mindful of the choices they make for themselves and their future. We hope that the lessons shared during the seminar will inspire them to choose a healthier lifestyle and encourage others to do the same.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our guest speakers for sharing their time, knowledge, and valuable insights with us. We also extend our sincere thanks to Communal National High School Teen Center, the school administration, teachers, and everyone who extended their support and helped make this activity possible.
And to all the young people who joined us, may the lessons you gained go beyond this seminar and serve as a reminder that every healthy choice you make today is an investment in a better tomorrow.
Because sometimes, making a difference starts with one choice:
Break free. Breathe free. Choose a healthier you.
