Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival (Chลซnjiรฉ), is the most important traditional holiday in Chinese culture. It marks the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar, which tracks both the cycles of the moon and the sun.

Because it follows a lunisolar calendar, the date changes annually on the Gregorian calendar, typically falling between January 21 and February 20.

This year it is celebrated on 17 February 2026.

Key traditions include cleaning homes to sweep away bad luck, decorating with red, feasting on reunion dinners (especially fish), exchanging red envelopes (Hรณngbฤo) with money, and lighting fireworks/firecrackers to scare away evil spirits.

The Ayala Triangle Gardens is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) landscaped urban park in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a triangular public garden and courtyard in the center of the Makati Central Business District. It was named after its owner and developer Ayala Land, and opened to the public in November 19, 2009. Inspired by Hyde Park in London, the park, which is dotted with palms, acacia trees, and tropical foliage, is considered to be one of the largest "green" areas in Makati.

The National Museum of the Philippines โ€“ Davao is the 17th regional component museum of the NMP and the fourth component museum under the Mindanao National Museums. The museum houses fascinating exhibits featuring natural history, cultural and historical artifacts, Mindanaoโ€™s priceless treasures, the artistry of Indigenous textiles, and masterpieces by some of Davaoโ€™s Local and National Artists. It opened to the public on December 1, 2024.

It represents an important milestone in the development of Davaoโ€™s cultural heritage and NMPโ€™s pursuit in promoting the Philippine culture and heritage alive on the Southeastern area of the Philippines. The collaboration between the National Museum of the Philippines and the Local Government of Davao City in 2021 has paved the way for a cultural hub to exists in the Davao Region, that preserves and showcases the regionโ€™s rich history and cultural significance. The museumโ€™s six-story building was inspired from the iconic fruit of Davao Region, the Durian Fruit. It was an architectural feat as it nods to the regionโ€™s identity. The first four floors are dedicated to the exhibits managed by the National Museum of the Philippines, while the fifth floor is reserved for Museo Dabawenyo, the local museum of the City Government of Davao.
