Due to the weather disturbance brought by the Trough of LPA, the 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑 channel along Brgy. Tamugan monitored at 𝐂𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 (alert level) approaching 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 (warning level).

With these, BDRRMCs along Davao river channels are advised to pre-positioned resources, alert the communities, conduct 𝐑𝐄𝐊𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀, closely monitor their areas of responsibility (AOR) especially flood and landslide-prone areas, prepare evacuation areas, and provide feedback to CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base for any changes in the situation.

Meanwhile, the PUBLIC is reminded to be vigilant and address the situation accordingly.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃

Despite the heavy rainfall on May 18 and 19, 2026, BDRRMC 19-B personnel conducted rescue operations due to street flooding in several areas of our barangay. During the operation, one family was successfully evacuated, while some residents chose to remain in their homes. After an hour, the floodwaters gradually subsided, allowing the affected families to safely return to their respective houses.

Before returning to our station, CDRRMO requested our team to respond to another incident in San Isidro NHA, Buhangin, involving a family trapped inside their house due to flooding. Our team immediately responded and successfully carried out the rescue operation.

This response demonstrates the dedication and commitment of BDRRMC 19-B personnel in providing immediate assistance and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community during emergencies.

Due to the rising water level in 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 along Brgy. Tamugan, which is now monitored at 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 (𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭) and continuing to increase.

All BDRRMCs along this river system are advised to preposition resources, alert communities residing in flood-prone areas, and check evacuation areas for possible evacuation, closely monitor their AOR, and promptly report any changes to CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base.

In order to give way to clearing operations and ensure the safety and welfare of individuals affected by flooding incidents in the city due to heavy rainfall brought by Easterlies and ITCZ on Monday evening, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔:

1. Face-to-face classes and school activities in ALL LEVELS in all public and private educational institutions in the city are hereby suspended;

2. Work in all national and local government offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations in Davao City, is suspended, EXCEPT for offices performing safety and security, health, social services and disaster and emergency response services;

3. Private offices and establishments are given the discretion to suspend work but are encouraged to do so for the welfare and safety of their employees.
