As part of its 32nd Founding Anniversary celebration, CHED Regional Office XI convened the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Coordinators’ Consultative Assembly via Microsoft Teams on May 26, 2026.
The activity commenced with an opening address from Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, Director IV, emphasizing the importance of strengthening NSTP implementation and collaboration among higher education institutions in the region. This was followed by technical presentations on the NSTP Act of 2001 (RA 9163) and related policies delivered by Dr. Liza C. Suan, OIC Supervising Education Program Specialist. Mr. Aicie Jame L. Ranises, Project Technical Staff III, also demonstrated the Electronic-NSTP Application and Issuance System to guide institutions on the digital processing of NSTP-related documents.
A focused session on the integration of health topics, particularly HIV-AIDS and Tuberculosis awareness, into NSTP syllabi and course packs was likewise conducted to promote responsive and relevant community-based learning initiatives. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Christopher Pio O. Pulido, Chief Education Program Specialist.
The assembly also provided a venue for participants to engage in a substantive open forum addressing policy clarifications, implementation concerns, and opportunities for institutional collaboration. CHED Region XI shall circulate the meeting minutes, presentation materials, and system access links to registered participants for reference and follow-up activities.
Congratulations were also extended to the newly elected ANIR XI officers, whose leadership is expected to further strengthen coordination and quality implementation of NSTP programs across the region.
