Attention, Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees! 🎓✨

To ensure the smooth and hassle-free release of your scholarship grants, please make sure that your registered LANDBANK account remains ACTIVE. 💳👀

Here’s what you need to do:

🔹 For PISO Account Holders: Maintain a minimum balance of ₱1.00 at all times.

🔹 For Regular Savings Account Holders: Maintain a minimum balance of ₱500.00 at all times.

🔹 Inactive or Dormant Accounts: If your registered LANDBANK account is currently dormant or inactive, please visit your LANDBANK branch as soon as possible for REACTIVATION.

⚠️ Reminder: Inactive or dormant accounts may result in delays in the disbursement of your grants.

Great news! The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) application for Academic Year 2026–2027 is officially OPEN! 🎓✨

If you are looking for financial assistance to support your college education, check the eligibility requirements and step-by-step process below:

👤 WHO CAN APPLY?
✅ Filipino citizens

✅ Enrolled in CHED-recognized programs in HEIs with an active MOA with CHED and UniFAST

✅ Enrolled in their first undergraduate degree program

✅ Have not exceeded the prescribed maximum residency period

✅ Not receiving any other national government scholarship or financial assistance (e.g., TDP, DOST, CMSP)

📋 HOW TO APPLY (4 EASY STEPS):

1️⃣ Submit Your Application: Visit your school’s TES Focal Person. (Applications are processed strictly through your CHED-recognized HEI)

2️⃣ Portal Submission: Your TES Focal Person will submit qualified applicants via the UniFAST Online System (TES Portal).

3️⃣ Documentary Requirements: If qualified, submit required documents like your Certificate of Enrollment (and PWD ID, if applicable).

4️⃣ Release of Results: CHED Regional Office will notify your HEI. Coordinate directly with your school's TES Focal Person for status updates.

💵 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GRANT

Private HEIs: ₱13,500 per Semester

Public HEIs (SUCs/LUCs): ₱10,000 per Semester

On July 29, 2026, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation visit at Evelyn E. Fabie College, Inc. to assess the institution's compliance with pertinent CHED policies, standards, and guidelines governing higher education programs and Student Affairs and Services.

The CHED RO XI evaluation team, composed of CHED RO XI Education Supervisors, was warmly welcomed by the officials and personnel of Evelyn E. Fabie College, Inc. The activity provided an opportunity to validate the institution's compliance with regulatory requirements, identify areas for continuous quality improvement, and reinforce its commitment to delivering quality higher education and responsive student support services.

𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗥𝗢 𝗫𝗜 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗢𝗿𝗦𝗨-𝗠𝗣𝗖𝗜 𝗠𝗢𝗔 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) joined Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) and Mati Polytechnic College, Inc. (MPCI) in the ceremonial signing of the Institutional Cooperation Agreement on July 28, 2026, reaffirming its support for collaborative initiatives that strengthen higher education in the region.

The agreement, signed by DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce and MPCI President Dr. Janice Bernadeth G. Agbong, establishes an institutional partnership that enables the two Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to collaborate in instruction, research, extension, and academic support while preserving the autonomy of each institution. Both HEIs will continue to manage their respective academic programs and comply with CHED policies and standards.

Joining the ceremonial signing were officials and personnel from Davao Oriental State University, Mati Polytechnic College, Inc., and CHED Regional Office XI, signifying a shared commitment to strengthening academic collaboration and expanding educational opportunities for learners in Davao Oriental.

𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘿 𝙍𝙊 𝙓𝙄 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙏𝙉𝙃𝙀 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝘼𝘿𝘿𝙐

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) successfully conducted an orientation on Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) last Thursday at the Finster Auditorium, Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) Jacinto Campus.

The event was actively attended by ADDU’s faculty members, program chairs, deans, and other academic leaders. The session aimed to equip the university’s academic leadership with a comprehensive understanding of internationalization and TNHE under Republic Act 11448 and its relevant issuances.

This activity reinforces the ongoing collaboration between CHED and higher education institutions to elevate the quality of higher education and expand the global reach of Philippine degree programs. Through TNHE and partnerships with foreign HEIs, the initiative ensures that world-class, international credentials remain accessible and attainable for Filipino students.

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗘𝗜𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

A total of 341 senior students from Information Technology Education (ITE) programs representing 12 higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Davao Region participated in the 14th Test of Practical Competency in Information Technology (TOPCIT) Philippines, conducted nationwide today, July 23, 2026.

The participating HEIs are as follows:

1. Aces Polytechnic College, Inc.
2. Ateneo de Davao University
3. Brokenshire College, Inc.
4. Davao Central College
5. Davao Vision College
6. Holy Child College of Davao
7. Northlink Technological College
8. Philippine Women’s College of Davao
9. Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology
10. St. Peter’s College of Toril
11. STI College Davao
12. University of the Immaculate Conception

TOPCIT, or the Test of Practical Competency in Information Technology, is a performance-based assessment designed to measure the practical knowledge, technical skills, business competencies, and problem-solving abilities of aspiring IT professionals and software developers. The assessment is administered by the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP) of the Republic of Korea, an institution that supports ICT research and development and helps strengthen the competencies required by the information and communications technology industry.

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI commends the participating HEIs and student examinees for taking part in this international competency assessment and for their commitment to strengthening the quality and industry relevance of information technology education in the Davao Region.

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI), through its UniFAST Unit, actively participated in the Orientation on the 2026 Revised Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) Guidelines on July 22, 2026, at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The orientation, spearheaded by the UniFAST Secretariat under the leadership of OIC Executive Director Atty. Septon A. Dela Cruz, CESO III, gathered Project Technical Staff III and II from the Mindanao regions to discuss the updated TES and TDP guidelines. The sessions covered key policy revisions, implementation procedures, documentary requirements, timelines, and compliance mechanisms to ensure the effective and consistent implementation of the programs.

The activity also provided an opportunity for participants to harmonize the interpretation and application of the revised guidelines, exchange best practices, and address implementation concerns, further strengthening the delivery of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education (UAQTE) programs across Mindanao.
