𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍! | 𝐃𝐍𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐂 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Strengthening skills through partnership, the 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐃𝐍𝐀𝐒), led by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒. 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫, VSA III, and the 534th Engineer Construction “Pacesetter” Battalion came together to empower uniformed personnel through a 𝟐-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, held on September 2–3, 2026 at the Battalion Camp in New Bataan, Davao de Oro. A total of 10 Army personnel gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical wiring, proper use of tools and materials, and essential safety practices, facilitated by Engr. Marlon G. Yutig, EIM NC II Trainer.

This training partnership goes beyond skills development—it is a shared commitment to capacity building, self-reliance, and lifelong learning. Through collaboration, DNAS and the 534th Engineer Construction “Pacesetter” Battalion continue to create meaningful opportunities that equip personnel with practical skills for service and everyday life. When partnerships work, skills grow—and empowered people build stronger communities.

𝐂𝐓𝐂-𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐎𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌 | TESDA City Training Center–Island Garden City of Samal (CTC-IGACOS) participated in the MASS Training Induction Program (TIP) facilitated by TESDA Provincial Office–Tagum, with Congressman JM Lagdameo as the program provider. Under the STEP Scholarship Program, three qualifications were offered—Driving NC II, SMAW NC II, and PV Systems Installation NC II (PVSI NC II)—with an expected 75 aspiring trainees who will benefit from the training opportunities.

During the TIP, CTC-IGACOS, through Sr. TESD Specialist Theresa F. Rozaldo, also conducted a Siomai and Macaroon Making activity, showcasing practical skills and livelihood opportunities through Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The activity was also supported by Mayor Leonidas Bahague, Vice Mayor Marchel Perandos, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and TESDA XI–Davao del Norte Provincial Director Jasmin J. Neri, Ed.D., demonstrating strong local support for skills development and employment opportunities.

𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔 𝗗𝗖𝗗𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗧𝗣𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗬𝗖𝗘𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 – 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 | The TESDA Davao City District Office released Certificates of TVET Program Registration (CTPRs) to the Lyceum of the Philippines – Davao for Bread and Pastry Production NC II and Cookery NC II.

The issuance of the CTPRs signifies the institution’s compliance with TESDA requirements and supports the delivery of quality, industry-responsive technical-vocational education and training in Davao City. Led by District Director Faisalia M. Bato, MM-HRM, TESDA DCDO continues to strengthen partnerships with training institutions to expand access to relevant and quality-assured TVET programs.

𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐃𝐂𝐃𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐘𝐎𝐙𝐔 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 | TESDA Davao City District Office conducted an Traning Center Ocular Inspection at Toyozu Technical School Foundation Inc. covering Automotive Servicing (Electrical Repair) NC II.

Led by District Director Faisalia M. Bato, MM-HRM, the inspection, with Expert Vincent S. Hinay, assessed the readiness and suitability of the assessment area, facilities, equipment, and resources to support quality competency assessment services. The activity reinforces TESDA’s commitment to ensuring that assessment centers meet established standards and provide reliable pathways for skills recognition and certification.

The Department of Agriculture–Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (DA-MIADP) and TESDA–Wangan National Agricultural School (TESDA-WNAS) formalized their partnership for Inclusive Agricultural and Technical Skills Development in Ancestral Domains through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed and notarized on August 13, 2026, and formally transmitted to TESDA-WNAS on August 27, 2026.

The partnership brings together the complementary expertise and resources of both agencies to support the skills development needs of communities in ancestral domains. Through coordinated agricultural and technical-vocational training initiatives, the collaboration aims to provide beneficiaries with relevant competencies that can contribute to livelihood improvement, increased productivity, and sustainable community development.

The initiative further strengthens TESDA-WNAS’ commitment to developing competitive workers in agriculture and other TVET sectors while building meaningful partnerships toward inclusive and sustainable development.

𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗦 𝟯𝗥𝗗 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 | The City Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (CTESDC) successfully conducted its 3rd Quarter Meeting for 2026, led by Meeting Chair Councilor Atty. Bai Hundra Cassandra Dominique N. Advincula and Co-Chair District Director Faisalia M. Bato, MM-HRM, bringing together government agencies, industry partners, and TVET stakeholders to discuss key initiatives for advancing technical education and skills development in Davao City.

The committee passed three (3) resolutions supporting the Pinay Technicians Initiative of PTC-Davao under its Gender and Development Program, the partnership for the development and professionalization of Barangay Electrician Practitioners, and the endorsement of the TVET Skills Insights Report (TSIR) on Driving (18-Meter Electric Vehicle Passenger Bus) as input to the updated Area-Based Skills Map. The meeting reaffirmed the CTESDC’s commitment to responsive, demand-driven, and inclusive TVET programs for Davao City.

Bato, MM-HRM, conducted Assessment Center (AC) ocular inspections at selected institutions in Davao City covering various qualifications, including Caregiving NC II, Health Care Services NC II, Pharmacy Services NC III, and Early Childhood Care and Development Services NC III.

The inspections assessed the readiness and suitability of facilities, equipment, and resources to support competency assessment services. These activities are essential in ensuring that assessment centers meet TESDA standards and are capable of providing accessible, reliable, and quality assessment services to individuals seeking national certification and improved employment opportunities.
