The Davao City Muslim Affairs Office (DCMAO), under the leadership of Chairman Pamikiren Ayunandatu Arumpac Jr., provided institutional support and policy inputs during the Committee Hearing on the proposed ordinance entitled:

The committee hearing was presided over by Councilor Ragsde Ibuyan, Chairperson of the Committee on Muslim Affairs, and was attended by the City Economic Enterprise Office headed by Macky Macalipes, Alim Jamal Munib MDCPU, representatives from concerned government offices, Muslim leaders, and other stakeholders.
The proposed ordinance seeks to establish a clear and organized payment scheme for the use of small and large grave lots at the Muslim Cemetery of Tagakpan Public Cemetery, providing a framework that will support proper administration, management, and sustainability of the cemetery facility.
During the deliberations, DCMAO contributed recommendations, technical inputs, and policy perspectives to ensure that the proposed measure considers the religious practices, cultural traditions, and welfare of the Muslim community. The Office emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity and sanctity of Muslim burial grounds through a responsive and culturally appropriate management system.
The hearing also highlighted the importance of collaboration among concerned government offices, Muslim organizations, and stakeholders in developing policies that promote efficient public service delivery while respecting the rights and traditions of the Muslim constituents of Davao City.
