KJRI Davao City bekerja sama dengan Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Mindanao menyelenggarakan peringatan 59th Founding Anniversary of ASEAN 2026 di House of Indonesia (HOI), Davao City, pada 11 Agustus 2026. Kegiatan tersebut menjadi momentum untuk memperingati berdirinya ASEAN sekaligus memperkuat semangat persahabatan, kerja sama, dan hubungan antarmasyarakat negara-negara ASEAN, khususnya di kawasan Mindanao.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, Konsul Jenderal RI Davao City, Agus Trenggono, menyampaikan sambutan yang menekankan pentingnya ASEAN sebagai wadah untuk memperkuat kerja sama dan menghadapi berbagai tantangan bersama. The event served as a momentum to commemorate the establishment of ASEAN while strengthening the spirit of friendship, cooperation, and people-to-people ties among ASEAN Member States, particularly in the Mindanao region.

During the event, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, Agus Trenggono, delivered remarks highlighting the importance of ASEAN as a platform for strengthening cooperation and addressing shared challenges. Meanwhile, Asec. Maria Agnes M. Cervantes of DFA Mindanao expressed her appreciation for the organization of the event and for the continued cooperation among the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, DFA Mindanao, and the Consulate General of Malaysia. Consul General of Malaysia in Davao City, Deddy Faisal Salleh, also delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of upholding the ASEAN spirit and further strengthening relations among ASEAN Member States.

Davao City, 6 Agustus 2026 โ€“ KJRI Davao City dipimpin oleh Konsul Jenderal RI Agus Trenggono menerima kunjungan 39 Delegasi National Police College (NPC) Davao yang berlangsung di Ruang Nusantara. Kunjungan tersebut merupakan bagian dari program pembelajaran bagi para Student Officers NPC yang berasal dari Philippine National Police (PNP) dan Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) untuk memperluas wawasan peran perwakilan konsuler serta peran dan capaian KJRI Davao City dalam mendukung perkembangan hubungan bilateral Indonesiaโ€“Filipina.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, para delegasi memperoleh pemaparan dari para narasumber KJRI Davao City, yaitu Pelaksana Fungsi Penerangan, Sosial dan Budaya, Staf Teknis Imigrasi, Perwira ILO TNI, dan Staf Teknis Polri mengenai tugas dan fungsi KJRI Davao City, termasuk pelaksanaan diplomasi penerangan dan sosial budaya, pelayanan keimigrasian, kerja sama pertahanan dan keamanan, serta hubungan kelembagaan antara aparat penegak hukum Indonesia dan Filipina. Para peserta juga mendapatkan gambaran mengenai berbagai bentuk kerja sama bilateral dalam menghadapi tantangan bersama di kawasan, khususnya terkait keamanan dan stabilitas regional.

Davao City, 6 August 2026 โ€“ The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (CGRI) Davao City, led by Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Trenggono, welcomed a visit from 39 delegates of the National Police College (NPC) Davao at the Nusantara Room of CGRI Davao City. The visit was part of a learning program for NPC Student Officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) to broaden their understanding of the role of a consular mission, as well as the roles and achievements of CGRI Davao City in supporting the development of Indonesiaโ€“Philippines bilateral relations.

During the program, the delegates received presentations from CGRI Davao City resource persons, namely the Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs, Consul for Immigration Affairs, Commander of Indonesian Navy Liaison Officer, and Consul for Police Affairs. The presentations covered the duties and functions of CGRI Davao City, including public diplomacy and socio-cultural diplomacy initiatives, immigration services, defense and security cooperation, as well as institutional relations between Indonesian and Philippine law enforcement agencies. The participants also gained insights into various forms of bilateral cooperation in addressing common challenges in the region, particularly those related to security and regional stability.

The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City expressed his appreciation for the NPC Delegationโ€™s visit and highlighted the importance of strengthening inter-institutional relations and knowledge exchange between Indonesia and the Philippines. The ceremony was held at the Meeting Room of CGRI Davao City and was attended by all Home Staff, Local Staff of KJRI Davao City, as well as representatives from Sekolah Indonesia Davao (SID).

On this occasion, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City extended his warm welcome and best wishes to Mr. Johannes on his new assignment as the new Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs. The Consul General expressed his hope that the newly appointed officer would immediately carry out his responsibilities effectively, strengthen internal coordination, and continue as well as develop various programs in the fields of information, social and cultural affairs, education, and public relations to support Indonesiaโ€™s diplomatic efforts and further strengthen Indonesiaโ€“Philippines bilateral relations, particularly in the Mindanao region.

Konsul Jenderal RI Davao City, Agus Trenggono, didampingi oleh PF Pensosbud, menerima Courtesy Call Delegasi Universitas Terbuka (UT) di Ruang Rapat pada Senin, 27 Juli 2026. Kunjungan tersebut merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kegiatan Delegasi UT dalam melaksanakan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang akan berlangsung pada 27โ€“31 Juli 2026 di Sekolah Indonesia Davao (SID).

Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Konjen RI menyambut baik kedatangan Delegasi Universitas Terbuka dan menyampaikan apresiasi atas komitmen UT dalam mendukung pengembangan pendidikan serta peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat Indonesia di luar negeri. Kegiatan PkM di SID diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif melalui berbagai kegiatan yang bermanfaat bagi peserta didik dan komunitas sekolah, sekaligus memperkuat sinergi antara KJRI Davao City, Universitas Terbuka, dan Sekolah Indonesia Davao.

KJRI Davao City menyampaikan dukungan terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM Universitas Terbuka dan berharap program tersebut dapat berjalan dengan lancar serta memberikan manfaat yang berkelanjutan bagi Sekolah Indonesia Davao. The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, Agus Trenggono, accompanied by the Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs, received a courtesy call from a delegation of Universitas Terbuka (UT) at the Meeting Room of CGRI Davao City on Monday, 27 July 2026. The visit was part of the UT delegation's activities in implementing a Community Service Program, which will take place from 27 to 31 July 2026 at Sekolah Indonesia Davao (SID).

During the meeting, the Consul General welcomed the Universitas Terbuka delegation and expressed his appreciation for UT's commitment to supporting educational development and enhancing the capacity of Indonesian communities abroad. The Community Service Program at SID is expected to make a positive contribution through various activities that will benefit students and the school community, while also strengthening synergy among CGRI Davao City, Universitas Terbuka, and Sekolah Indonesia Davao.

CGRI Davao City expressed its support for the implementation of the Universitas Terbuka Community Service Program and hopes that the program will run smoothly and provide sustainable benefits to Sekolah Indonesia Davao. This collaboration is also expected to contribute to joint efforts to strengthen cooperation in the field of education and improve the quality of educational services for the Indonesian community in the Mindanao region.

Kedua mahasiswa tersebut tengah mengikuti 11th Batch SEA-Teacher Student Exchange Program yang diselenggarakan oleh Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) dan berlangsung di University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), Davao City, selama bulan Juli 2026.

Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Konsul Jenderal RI Davao City menyampaikan apresiasi atas partisipasi kedua mahasiswa dalam program pertukaran yang menjadi bagian dari upaya memperkuat kerja sama pendidikan dan pertukaran pengalaman antarpelajar di kawasan Asia Tenggara. Konsul Jenderal juga menyampaikan pentingnya program SEA-Teacher dalam memberikan kesempatan kepada calon pendidik untuk memperoleh pengalaman mengajar di lingkungan pendidikan yang berbeda, sekaligus memperluas wawasan mengenai keberagaman budaya dan sistem pendidikan di negara-negara ASEAN.

Konsul Jenderal berharap pengalaman yang diperoleh 2 mahasiswa selama mengikuti program di Davao City dapat memberikan manfaat bagi pengembangan akademik dan profesional mereka serta menjadi pengalaman berharga yang dapat dibagikan kepada rekan-rekan dan generasi muda di Indonesia. The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, Agus Trenggono, accompanied by the Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs, received a courtesy call from two student interns from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Ine Komalasari and Luna Dhamarani Wijadmoko, at the Meeting Room of CGRI Davao City on Monday, 27 July 2026. The two students are currently participating in the 11th Batch of the SEA-Teacher Student Exchange Program, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and hosted by the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), Davao City, throughout July 2026.

During the meeting, the Consul General expressed his appreciation for the participation of the two students in the exchange program, which contributes to strengthening educational cooperation and facilitating the exchange of experiences among students in Southeast Asia. The Consul General also highlighted the importance of the SEA-Teacher Program in providing future educators with opportunities to gain teaching experience in different educational environments, while broadening their understanding of the cultural diversity and education systems of ASEAN countries.

The Consul General expressed his hope that the experiences gained by the two students during their participation in the program in Davao City would contribute to their academic and professional development and serve as valuable experiences that they could share with their peers and younger generations in Indonesia. KJRI Davao City also expressed its support for educational exchange programs that can strengthen people-to-people ties and cooperation between Indonesia and the Philippines, particularly in the fields of education and youth development.
