DCPO Strengthens Security Measures Amid Online Threats

Davao City – On August 12, 2026, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of PCOL PETER B MADRIA, City Director, together with PLTCOL NOEL C ASUMEN, Deputy City Director for Operations, convened an emergency meeting with the DCPO Quad Staff and Station Commanders of PS 2-San Pedro, PS 13-Mandug, PS 6-Bunawan, and PS 4-Sasa to address the current online threats affecting schools within their respective areas of responsibility.

During the meeting, PCOL MADRIA directed all concerned units to intensify investigations to identify the perpetrators behind the threats and ensure that, once identified, they will be held fully liable. He also instructed the conduct of information drives and lectures in schools to raise awareness and strengthen vigilance among students and faculty. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of close coordination with barangay officials to secure community support and ordered the exhaustion of all available resources in information gathering, including the mobilization of force multipliers.

DCPO remains steadfast in its commitment to proactive law enforcement, operational readiness, and community partnership, ensuring that schools continue to be safe environments for learning and development.

We have launched a prompt and impartial investigation to ascertain the full facts and circumstances surrounding the reported incidents in both Maa and Calinan.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the personnel concerned have been temporarily reassigned to administrative holding units to ensure a fair, transparent, and unhindered inquiry.

Should the investigation yield evidence of misconduct, administrative violations, or criminal liability, appropriate disciplinary and legal action will be meted out without hesitation or favor. We do not tolerate actions that compromise public trust.

DAVAO CITY — The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under City Director PCOL PETER B. MADRIA, has initiated an immediate investigation into a social media post alleging inappropriate conduct by police personnel in Brgy. Ma-a on August 10, 2026.

Initial reports indicate that police officers were conducting routine patrol operations when they caught the complainant in the act of va**ng, which is prohibited under Davao City’s local ordinance.

The complainant alleged that she was disrespectfully treated by a police officer while being informed of the violation.

The alleged officer involved has been directed to submit an official explanation as part of the ongoing inquiry, strictly observing due process and PNP regulations.

The DCPO assures the public of a fair and objective investigation. To ensure the proper disposition of the case, the complainant is strongly encouraged to visit the DCPO office to formally lodge an official statement rather than relying solely on social media.

Davao City – On August 10, 2026, in a gesture to strengthen public awareness and law enforcement, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of PCOL PETER B. MADRIA, City Director, together with PMAJ PAUL MICHAEL NEFFE, Station Commander of PS 13 – Mandug, formally conducted a school visitation at Teofilo V. Fernandez National High School, Indangan, Buhangin District, Davao City in relation to the alleged bomb threat last August 6, 2026.

PCOL MADRIA was warmly welcomed by Ms. Elma P. De Castro, the school principal, along with faculty members.
