Kasikas sa Konseho: As Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Science and Technology, a Resolution was passed granting legistative authority for Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Education for the implementation of the Basic Education Facilities Fund, which is the annual national budget allocation used for building new classrooms, repairing and rehabilitating existing school structures, providing school furniture, and upgrading water, sanitation, and electrification utilities.

Kasikas sa Komitiba: Project ALAGA-learners, a DepEd & LGU initiative School Based Feeding Program.

Great ideas are best served around one table... especially when the goal is to feed young minds and hungry tummies! 🍽️📚

The LGU of Davao City, Barangay Officials, and DepEd came together for a coordination meeting to ensure that Project ALAGA delivers more than just meals—it delivers hope, health, and brighter futures for our learners.

Just in time for Nutrition Month, we're proving that it takes a community to nourish a child. Because when everyone brings something to the table, no learner is left behind because of hunger.

Thank you very much World Food Programme for your generous donation to our Pilot Onsite School Kitchens. Thank you Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc. for conducting free water sample analysis to our schools.

As the principal author and sponsor of the ordinance that established the Davao City Special Needs Intervention Center for Children, this occasion is deeply meaningful to me. When we envisioned this Center, we did not simply dream of creating a building or a facility. We envisioned a community where every child with special needs is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential, while every parent is empowered to become an even stronger partner in that journey.

The launching of this Skills Training Program is a beautiful realization of that vision.

This training is not only about acquiring technical skills. It is about opening doors to livelihood opportunities, strengthening families, and reminding every parent that they are not alone. By investing in their knowledge and capabilities, we are also investing in the future of their children.
