Cultivating New Opportunities in Calinan District!🍄🌱

Our DAFC Calinan District officers and local farmers recently participated in the Training on Oyster Mushroom Production, Poultry Production, and Aquaculture conducted by the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office XI (DA-RFO XI) last July 16-17, 2026, at the World Palace Hotel. The participation of the farmers was through the closed coordination of CAgrO-Calinan District headed by Agnes S. Barte, Acting MAO and DA-RFO XI. Farmers from Tugbok District and Toril District were also present during the training.

This capacity-building activity is a significant step toward diversifying our agricultural production and creating additional livelihood opportunities for our farmers. We are excited to see these new skills applied in our community!

We are proud to introduce the newly elected officers of the District Agricultural and Fishery Council (DAFC) – Calinan District, following the elections held during the DAFC 3rd Regular Meeting last July 7, 2026, at the Calinan District Hall.

Congratulations to our new leaders! We are confident that under your guidance, the DAFC will continue to be a strong voice for our farmers and fisherfolk, driving innovation and growth for the agricultural community here in Calinan.

Distribution of hybrid rice seeds.

January 9, 2026 | A total of 83 bags (18kg per bag) was distributed to RSBSA registered rice farmers in Calinan District at Calinan District Hall, Davao City. The Hybrid rice seeds (M20) were funded under the DA-Rice Program.
