A 66/M farmer with a Fitzpatrick skin type V, came into the clinic due to a 6 month history of intensely itchy thick plaques with surface scaling on the sun-exposed areas of the body that includes the face, neck, forearms, and feet. The patient has been farming since he was young without the use of any protective clothing and sunscreen.

There is a note of sharp cut off at non-sun-exposed areas of the body such as the trunk, back, thighs and even the legs (he uses long pants while farming).

A strong UVB association is being suspected. What do we think is this case?

Ang altapresyon, ay isang seryosong kondisyon na nagpapataas ng risk mo na magkaroon ng sakit sa utak, sa bato, at sa puso gaya ng stroke, heart failure at iba pang cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Kaya naman para sa ikahahaba ng buhay mo, siguraduhing BP mo’y kontrolado. Make it a habit to check your BP!

OPERATION TULI 2023

Narito na ang schedule ng OPERATION TULI 2023 sa Barangay Bayabo. Ang OPERATION TULI 2023 ay gaganapin sa RHU, DELFIN ALBANO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.

Mahalaga na ang bata ay ma-screening muna bago ang schedule ng tuli upang mabigyan ng tamang payo at preparasyon. May pahintulot (consent form) din na ibibigay sa pasyente na kailangang may lagda ng magulang.

MGA DAPAT GAWIN NG BATA BAGO PUMUNTA SA LUGAR NG TULIAN:
1. Kumain bago pumunta sa tulian.
2. Maligo at linisin mabuti ang ari.
3. Mag-ahit sa bahay kung may p***c hair na.
4. Magdala ng malinis na underwear at magsuot ng maluwag na shorts.
5. Kailangan magsuot ng FACE MASK ang bata.

June is Dengue Awareness Month

Walang pinipiling panahon ang sakit na dengue, tag-ulan man o tag-araw! Huwag hayaan dumami ang lamok sa inyong lugar. Panatilihin ang kalinisan sa ating tahanan.

Ang dating 4S Kontra Dengue, lalong pinatibay! Mag-5S na!
✅ Search and destroy mosquito breeding places tulad ng mga lumang gulong, paso, balde at drum
✅ Secure self-protection tulad ng pantalon, long sleeved na damit, at mosquito repellant
✅ Seek early consultation lalo na kung may sintomas ng dengue tulad ng mataas na lagnat at sakit ng kasu-kasuan, at pananakit ng likod ng mata
✅ Support fogging and spraying only in hotspot areas
✅ Sustain hydration lalo na kapag nilalagnat dahil sa dengue
