The QSU vermicomposting project is committed to supporting students, especially those undertaking thesis research. As part of this initiative, six BSF 3 students have been selected to focus their thesis on the topic, "Comparative Study on Vermicast Production from Leguminous and Allelopathic Tree Species." The study aims to contribute to the understanding of how allelopathic properties of tree species influence vermicast production, filling a gap in existing literature and offering new perspectives on the utilization of tree-based substrates for soil enhancement in agricultural and forest ecosystems.
To ensure the success of their study, the project will assist the students in various aspects of their research process, starting with the development of their methodology as this is key to ensuring that the study produces valid and reliable results. Furthermore, the students will be provided with access to the equipment and facilities of the QSU vermicomposting project. They will also be assisted during the gathering, analysis and processing of data.
This support not only enhances the quality of the students' research, but also provides them with valuable hands-on experience and access to specialized vermicomposting resources.
This initiative ultimately serves two key purposes: fostering the academic growth of students and advancing the field of vermicomposting research.
