𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 | 𝗖𝗢𝗤𝗖 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁

Luna Street, Digos City — The closing ceremony of the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course was successfully conducted at the 1101st Community Defense Group, 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA, with LTC Luciano G Cameros JAGS PA (RES), Acting Battalion Commander of the 1101st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, as the keynote speaker on December 06, 2025.

The program started with the National Anthem through an audio-visual presentation, followed by the invocation led by Sgt Randy D Arnuco PA (Res). The welcome remarks were given by CPT Dinnes S Lasat IV PA (RES). A total of 126 COQC participants from different ROTC units were presented by Tsg Rosel C Bandico (Inf) PA, then the declaration of the COQC was given by LTC Frederick M Chicote INF (GSC) PA.

For Part 2 of the program, which is the Sport Fest, LTC Luciano G Cameros JAGS PA (RES) delivered a heartfelt message in which he emphasized that this particular program had been implemented with the specific objectives of allowing every single participant to get to know one another, to foster meaningful connections and become acquainted with each other on a more personal and genuine level, to cultivate and build a strong, lasting sense of camaraderie marked by mutual trust, support, and solidarity among all those involved, and ultimately, to promote and instill the core values of good sportsmanship—including fair play, respect for others, integrity, and grace in both victory and defeat—throughout all the activities and interactions that would take place as part of the program.

The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) National Service Training Program (NSTP) proudly stands in solidarity with the Filipino people in commemorating Bonifacio Day, a national holiday honoring the indomitable spirit and revolutionary legacy of Andres Bonifacio, the "Father of the Philippine Revolution."

This observance not only celebrates Bonifacio’s heroism but also calls upon students to honor his memory by actively contributing to nation-building, upholding human dignity, and advocating for equitable progress in their communities.

𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮

Sacred Heart Avenue, Barangay Zone 2, Digos City — The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) National Service Training Program (NSTP) successfully delivered the gathered donations to Cor Jesu College — Br. Polycarp Foundation on November 20, 2025, with the dedicated support of the DSSC ROTC Unit. This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to extend help to the victims of the recent typhoon in Cebu.

Through the generosity of donors and the teamwork of our NSTP faculties and staff, DSSC Extention and Community Services Office, and ROTC volunteers, we continue to bring hope, care, and relief to affected families. Let us keep the spirit of bayanihan alive as we support our fellow Filipinos in rebuilding their lives.

𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Sitio Punta Biao, Brgy. Cogon, Digos City — In support of National Environmental Awareness Month under RA 9512, the DSSC NSTP, together with members of the DSSC ROTC Unit, actively participated in the Mangrove Tree Planting Activity on November 15, 2025, alongside various volunteer groups and individuals.

The activity was well-organized and anchored on promoting ecological solidarity as participants joined the City Government’s mission to protect watersheds, preserve marine ecosystems, and minimize the impact of human activities on coastal habitats. Mangrove planting plays a crucial role in improving water quality, serving as nursery grounds for fish, preventing coastal erosion, and strengthening natural defenses against climate change.

The DSSC NSTP, with the support and presence of the DSSC ROTC Unit, proudly contributed to this meaningful environmental initiative—showcasing unity, community involvement, and commitment toward a greener and more sustainable future.

𝐂𝐎𝐐𝐂 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Luna Street, Digos City — The Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) Opening and Orientation was successfully conducted, participated by the DSSC ROTC Unit along with the other ROTC Units on November 08, 2025 at 1101st Community Defense Center, 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA.

The event was properly organized as aspirants met and greeted high-ranking officers and were officially introduced as qualifying candidates for Advance ROTC training. The orientation provided an overview of what awaits the aspirants in their ROTC journey, emphasizing discipline, leadership, and commitment.

The 28 aspirants of the DSSC ROTC Unit proudly participated and represented the college with discipline and excellence.

Dawis, Digos City — The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) Reserve Officer' Training Corps (ROTC) Unit actively participated in the International Coastal Clean-Up Drive on September 20, 2025, joining the global movement to protect and restore our marine environment.

This activity highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship, community service, and collective action in addressing the growing challenges of pollution and climate impact.

Together, we continue to uphold the spirit of volunteerism and work hand in hand for cleaner shores and a healthier planet.

Riverside, Brgy. Dulangán, Digos City — In celebration of National Environmental Awareness Month under RA 9512, the DSSC NSTP and DSSC ROTC Unit joined a Tree Planting Activity on November 22, 2025, together with the other volunteers.

The activity aimed to care for nature and support the City Government’s mission to protect the environment. Tree planting helps clean the air, gives homes to animals, stops soil erosion, and helps fight climate change.

The DSSC NSTP and DSSC ROTC Unit proudly took part in this meaningful event, showing unity, teamwork, and support for a greener and better future.
