๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒง๏ธ Learning Continues Despite the Storm ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Despite the challenges brought by Tropical Storm Basyang and the suspension of face-to-face classes, learning at Balabag Elementary School did not stop.
In compliance with the directive to implement blended learning, our teachers, learners, and supportive parents worked hand in hand to ensure that education continues even in difficult times. Through guided modules and home-based activities, our learners remained engaged, with parents actively assisting and encouraging them every step of the way.
These photos capture the spirit of cooperation, resilience, and commitment to education within our community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our parents and guardians for being true partners in learning, and to our teachers for their dedication beyond the classroom.

The program formally opened with warm welcome remarks from MT-1 Demosthenes O. Cajes, who highlighted the importance of unity and active participation in all school initiatives. This was followed by the Rationale on Reading, delivered by Maria Theresa M. Sarino, Reading Coordinator, who emphasized the schoolโ€™s commitment to strengthening literacy, fostering a love for reading, and ensuring that every learner develops the skills needed for lifelong learning. To further inspire the pupils, School Principal Jacqueline A. Jaum shared an uplifting inspirational message, encouraging learners to read with enthusiasm and reminding them that reading opens doors to knowledge, imagination, and endless possibilities.

For the National Reading Month launch, the school warmly welcomed ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™š๐™—๐™š๐™ก๐™ก๐™š ๐™. ๐™”๐™–๐™ฃ๐™–โ€”an alumna of Balabag ESโ€”as the dayโ€™s Mystery Reader. She delighted everyone with her expressive storytelling of ๐™Ž๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™’๐™๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ซ๐™š๐™ฃ ๐˜ฟ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ง๐™›๐™จ. Learners listened with wide smiles and eager attention, a clear sign of the schoolโ€™s strong and growing love for reading.

Adding more color to the celebration, selected learners from Grades 4, 5, and 6 presented a vibrant choral reading of ๐™๐™๐™š ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ฎ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™Ž๐™˜๐™๐™ค๐™ค๐™ก ๐™Ž๐™ช๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ž๐™š๐™จ ๐˜ผ๐™ง๐™œ๐™ช๐™š๐™™. Their energetic voices, teamwork, and lively performance brought the story to life and filled the program with excitement.

Throughout November, Balabag Elementary School will continue promoting the joy of reading through various activities such as DEAR (Drop Everything and Read), classroom read-alouds, storytelling days, book character dress-up events, peer reading buddies, and targeted reading interventions to support learners who need extra guidance. The month-long celebration aims to nurture not only reading skills but also a lifelong love for books and stories.
