📢 UNAIP Visits Davao del Sur for Calf Drop field Validation and Monitoring for CY 2025!!!

The representative evaluating team from the Unified National Artificial Insemination Program (UNAIP) has conducted field validation, monitoring, and inspection of Calf drops (Nati o Anak sa baka) in the Province of Davao del Sur for Calendar Year (CY) 2025, conducted last May 19 – 20, 2026.

This joint undertaking involves the PLGU, MLGU, Artificial Insemination (AI) Technicians, DA – RFO XI and the Unified National Artificial Insemination Program (UNAIP) coordinators to assess the success rates and overall impact of genetic upgrading efforts in the province.

Key Objectives of the Field Validation:
A. Genetic Quality Assessment: Evaluating the growth, health, and traits of calves produced through artificial insemination to ensure the continuous improvement of local cattle and carabao stocks.
B. Program Monitoring & Data Verification: Cross-matching field records with actual calf production to accurately measure the conception and calving rates resulting from the CY 2025 breeding operations.
C. Technician Incentive Verification: Validating the successful calf drops serves as the official basis for granting the cash incentives to our hardworking local AI Technicians, acknowledging their critical role in countryside livestock development.

By ensuring strict monitoring and field verification, the UNAIP aims to strengthen the livestock industry in Davao del Sur, improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, and contribute significantly to the country's food security and meat self-sufficiency goals.

We extend our gratitude to our local farmers and AI technicians for their cooperation and continued dedication during this evaluation period.

Maanyag na Adlaw mga Davsuranon!

Mao kini among mga official partners para sa pagkabuhatong National Simultaneous Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive karong adlawa. Ang among opisina nagprovide og 30 vaccine doses sa Anti-rabies matag partner clinic para iturok sa mga magpabakunang mga pasyente. Ihatag kani nga LIBRE hantod sa mahurot ang bakuna.

Aduna gihapon kitay LIBRE nga bakuna sa opisina matag adlaw mga higala. Pero alang-alang sa mga katawhan para dili na kaayo mapalayo ug para makapaengganyo sa pagpabakuna, mao gibuhat ni nga programa.

Nagpaabot ang among opisina ug pasalamat sa walay hunong nga suporta sa mga veterinary clinics para sa common goal - ang pagkontrol ug madayunong pagkawala sa rabies diri sa probinsya.

The Provincial Veterinary Office of Davao del Sur for February 2026 in support of the province’s livestock development program. For the whole month of February, a total of 84 farmer-raisers from various barangays were served. The office recorded 62 heads of large ruminants subjected to Artificial Insemination (50 cattle and 12 carabaos), 34 heads under synchronized estrus/heat induction, 64 animals given vitamin supplementation, and 78 animals dewormed.

These interventions aim to improve reproductive efficiency, increase conception rates, upgrading “native” breed quality, disease control and animal health safety, and support farmers in achieving better herd productivity and higher income potential.

A 21-day follow-up is conducted after AI to monitor pregnancy status and provide continuous technical assistance to livestock raisers.
