The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 11 invites aspiring and existing Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) owners in the Davao Region to join the Batch 2 Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) – MME Online Program CY 2026!

DTI-Go Negosyo Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME-MME) Online Program is a FREE mentoring program that equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to grow and sustain their businesses through the power of the 3Ms: Mentorship, Money, and Market.

Who can apply?

𝘈 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴:
1. At least 18 years of age
2. Must be a Filipino and resident of Davao Region
3. Must be the owner or co-owner of and/or partner of the business
4. Business is registered (with documentation)
5. Business is operating for at least one year
6. Has employee/s and/or manages a team
7. Willing to attend sessions on specified schedules
8. Willing to enter into a Contract of Commitment

Applicant must be willing to join the program which will run from:
August 11, 2026 – November 5, 2026 | Tuesdays & Thursdays | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The mentee must have the following tools to be used during the whole duration:
– Personal Facebook Account and able to navigate through your device
– Laptop/desktop or mobile phone
– Stable internet connectivity (LAN, Fiber Internet or Mobile Data)
– Headset or earphones

The Department of Trade and Industry – Davao del Sur Provincial Office, through its Negosyo Center Digos City, successfully conducted an Operations Management Seminar for the OFW Federation in Digos City at the DTI DSPO Conference Room.

The activity aimed to equip the participants with practical entrepreneurial knowledge and business management skills to help them explore sustainable livelihood and business opportunities. Topics included entrepreneurial mind-setting, inventory management, pricing strategies, and store management techniques.

Participants actively engaged during the discussions and workshops, reflecting their eagerness to learn and strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities.

This initiative was made possible through the continued partnership and collaboration between DTI Davao del Sur and the Digos City OFW Federation officers.

Together, we continue to empower OFWs and their families through entrepreneurship, helping build sustainable livelihood opportunities and a more resilient and inclusive local economy

April 16, 2026 | The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 – 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, through 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘆𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, successfully conducted a 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 in partnership with the 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗼𝘀- 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲. The activity aimed to equip young people with entrepreneurial knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities that can help them build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to community development.

In her opening remarks, 𝗗𝗧𝗜 𝗗𝗦𝗣𝗢 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 inspired the participants, saying, “𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.” Her message encouraged the youth to embrace innovation, think boldly, and maximize their potential as future entrepreneurs.

Sixteen aspiring young participants actively joined the seminar and gained valuable insights on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, identifying business opportunities, setting goals, and transforming ideas into profitable ventures. The seminar also highlighted the importance of digitalization and effective online customer service strategies to help businesses expand their market reach.

Participants further explored value chain appreciation through an engaging mapping activity that emphasized their role in creating value within their communities.

DTI remains committed to empowering the youth by nurturing innovation, strengthening entrepreneurial mindsets, and opening more opportunities for the next generation of business leaders.
