The ten (10) mentees from Davao del Sur continue to strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities through Modules 4 to 6 of the Kapatid Mentor ME–Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) 2026 Online Program, a free mentorship program of DTI.

This session emphasized the importance of establishing clear and efficient business processes to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products and services to customers.

Mr. Arnold Cris Mayor of Bebrose Inland Resort presented the parts of his operations that needs improvement.

📌 Module 5: Digitalization
🗓️ September 1, 2026

Mentees were introduced to various digital platforms and tools that can help businesses operate more efficiently, reach a wider customer base, and streamline daily transactions.

The session highlighted the use of social media marketing, digital payment systems, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as valuable tools for improving business productivity and competitiveness in the digital age.

Mr. Oliver Travilla presented an AI generated facebook post with pictures and captions.

📌 Module 6: Supply and Value Chain Management
🗓️ September 3, 2026

The session focused on the interconnected processes of sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, production, distribution, and delivery. Mentees learned how effective supply and value chain management contributes to cost efficiency, improved customer satisfaction, enhanced value creation, and stronger market competitiveness.

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗙𝗔 𝗦𝗦𝗙 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗠 𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗕𝗢𝗡-𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬

DTI Davao del Sur launched the 2nd Addendum of the BACOFA Shared Service Facility (SSF), amounting to Php 930,000.00, with the following coffee processing equipment:

🔹 1 unit – Coffee Bean Sorting Machine
🔹 2 units – Stainless Steel Working Tables

The activity was attended by DTI 11 Assistant Regional Director Rachel S. Remitio, other DTI Regional Officers, DTI Davao del Sur officials, BACOFA officers and members, and other stakeholders.

The program opened with BACOFA Chairman Mr. Rogelio L. Gonzales, who welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for DTI’s continued support.

Engr. Maria Victoria R. Placer, Provincial Director of DTI Davao del Sur, highlighted the facility’s role in strengthening local coffee processing, improving product quality and food safety compliance, and enhancing the capabilities of MSMEs and cooperative members.

ARD Rachel S. Remitio likewise conveyed her support for the initiative and encouraged the sustained use of the facility for the benefit of the local coffee industry and community.

Representing Ms. Uly Rose T. Lindong of the Municipal Agriculturist’s Office, Ms. Jo Ann T. Arriaga delivered a message of support for the project and its contribution to local agricultural and enterprise development.

In his message of acceptance, Chairman Rogelio gratefully received the 2nd Addendum on behalf of BACOFA and committed to ensuring the equipment’s sustainable operation, strengthening the local supply chain, and improving the competitiveness of community-based enterprises.

The program concluded with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking another milestone in the development of Davao del Sur’s local coffee industry.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗡𝗖 𝗞𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺

The Department of Trade and Industry – Davao del Sur Provincial Office (DTI-DSPO), through the Negosyo Center Kiblawan, conducted the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and Stakeholders’ Consultation Forum on September 30, 2026, at the Municipal Mayor's office, Conference room, Brgy. Poblacion, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.

The consultation forum served as a venue for meaningful dialogue, information sharing, and collaboration among DTI, the Local Government Unit of Kiblawan, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Civil Society Organizations, and other valued partners.

The activity formally opened with Engr. Maria Victoria R. Placer, Provincial Director of DTI-DSPO, who welcomed the participants and presented the Plans and Programs (PAPs) of the DTI-Davao del Sur Provincial Office. Her presentation provided stakeholders with an overview of the programs and services being implemented by DTI-DSPO to support MSMEs and promote inclusive local economic development.

Meanwhile, Ms. Julnie Grace R. Bastatas, Negosyo Center Business Counselor of Kiblawan, presented the 2026 Accomplishment Report of Negosyo Center Kiblawan, highlighting the various activities, programs, and services undertaken in support of the local business community.

A floor discussion followed, providing stakeholders and participants from the LGU Kiblawan, MSME sector, and partner organizations an opportunity to raise concerns, share insights, provide recommendations, and identify areas for collaboration. The open dialogue reinforced the importance of strengthening partnerships and ensuring that programs and services remain responsive to the needs of the community.

The activity concluded with a message from Ms. Bernice Larraine Siao Rojas, Reports Officer II, representative from Mayor's Office . She emphasized the importance of strong collaboration among stakeholders and expressed her anticipation for continued partnership and joint activities with DTI toward taking Kiblawan to the next level.

The CSO and Stakeholders’ Consultation Forum underscores DTI-DSPO’s commitment to participatory governance, responsive public service, and stronger partnerships toward the sustained development of MSMEs and the local economy of Davao del Sur.

Implemented by the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA) in partnership with BPI Foundation, BPI BanKo, DTI Region 11, and the City Government of Davao, SEAL-BETA offers more than just classroom training.

Participants will gain practical business skills, market exposure, and opportunities to explore financing through hands-on learning activities, a mini trade fair, and a business pitching session.

The 2026 Negosyo Center Magsaysay Stakeholders Consultative Forum was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry – Davao del Sur Provincial Office (DTI-DSPO) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Magsaysay, headed by Engr. Arthur D. Davin, Municipal Mayor.

The forum served as a meaningful platform for dialogue, consultation, and collaboration, providing stakeholders with an opportunity to share their concerns, suggestions, and needs to further enhance programs and services supporting the development of local businesses in Magsaysay.

During the forum, DTI presented its 2026 Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs), providing stakeholders with an overview of the agency’s ongoing initiatives and available support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Meanwhile, Negosyo Center Magsaysay presented its 2026 Accomplishment Report, highlighting the various services, programs, and interventions implemented to assist local entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and business organizations.

The activity was attended by representatives from the DTI-DSPO Business Development Division, LGU Magsaysay, DSWD-Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), as well as local MSMEs, cooperatives, and associations, including:
• Magsaysay Organic Farmers Organic Agriculture Cooperative (MOFARMCO)
• Malawanit Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (MAFAMCO)
• San Isidro Magsaysay Agriculture Cooperative (SMAC)
• Tacul Agribase Farmers and Workers Association (TAFWA)
• Civil Society Organization (CSO)

The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships, understanding the needs of the business community, and identifying opportunities for improved support and services for MSMEs and local organizations.
