The Technological University of the Philippines Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit (ROTCU) conducted its 5th Training Day on 06 0700H September 2026 at TUP Covered Court, Ayala Boulevard, Ermita, Manila.
The day commenced with an invocation and flag-raising ceremony conducted in coordination with the Cathedral of Praise, setting a solemn and meaningful tone for the day’s activities. This was followed by the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and Panata ng Bagong Pilipinas, which fostered a strong sense of unity and patriotism among the cadets. Afterwards, NSTP Director Prof. Reggie Campomanes delivered the opening remarks, providing an overview of the program flow and the announcement of the date of the start of the Military Science lesson. The cadets then participated in an energetic physical exercise prepared by TUP students, promoting physical fitness, discipline, and readiness. The morning activities continued with the singing of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and TUP Hymn, further strengthening the cadets’ sense of national and institutional pride.
The cadets subsequently participated in a worship session facilitated by the Cathedral of Praise, providing an opportunity for spiritual reflection and fellowship. The session also introduced an opportunity for interested students to become part of their community. This was followed by an invitation to the stage play “Rizal 3000,” organized by Philstagers. The presentation introduced the actors and actresses, their respective roles, the production team, the director, and the other organizers behind the production.
The training day concluded with the finalization of the companies of Basic Cadets and the official listing of personnel assigned to the special platoons, namely Military Police, Medics, and Journalists.
All these were possible with the able guidance of the commandant, LTC OMAR H HASSAN (ART) PA, and the training officers and cadet officers of the TUP ROTC Unit. With their professionalism and dedication, they were able to make it a successful and memorable event.
