Today, the UP Architecture Forum commemorates the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

Founded as an organization pursuing to have its voice heard and justice upheld, we reflect on the countless Filipinos who, decades ago under the Marcos dictatorship, fought relentlessly for their freedom, justice, and right to be heard. On this day, the nation reclaimed its freedomβ€”the same freedom that we enjoy today, and that same freedom in which those who sacrificed their lives never got to experience, as their lives were stolen by oppression and torture. With reverence, we honor these known and unknown individuals whose courage and sacrifices shaped our history.

It is deeply alarming that those in power seek to erase the memory of the EDSA Revolution from our collective consciousness. Yet, despite these attempts, Filipinos today continue to fight for what is right, just, and truly theirs. The spirit of EDSA endures, and we will always remember, honor, and carry forward its legacy.

Apatnapung taon na ang lumipas mula nang patalsikin ng sambayanan ang diktadurang Marcos. Ngunit malinawβ€”hindi pa tapos ang laban. May diktadurang Marcos noon at may kurap na Marcos din ngayon. Hindi rin siya nag-iisa. Lantad ang sistematikong korapsyon sa 2026 Budget, sa mga iskandalo sa imprastruktura, at sa patuloy na pagnanakaw sa pondo ng taumbayan.

Habang tumataas ang presyo ng bilihin at naghihirap ang masa, nilulustay ang pondo sa mga substandard na proyekto. Sa halip na tunay na serbisyo, korapsyon ang ipinaiiral. Dumaan man ang ilang eleksyon, nananatili ang isang bulok na sistemang pumipiga sa mamamayan.

Patuloy rin na minamaliit ang edukasyon. Maliban sa substandard at kulang na pasilidad sa loob ng pamantasan, pinagkakaitan rin ng sapat na pondo ang UP at ang sektor ng kabataan dahil takot ang gobyerno sa mulat, kritikal, at lumalabang kabataan. Ngunit hindi tayo matitinag.

Sa ika-40 anibersaryo ng EDSA, buhay ang diwa ng paglaban. Hindi lamang natin ginugunita ang nakaraan; ipinagpapatuloy natin ang rebolusyonaryong diwa nito hanggang sa makamit natin ang mas malayang kinabukasan.

Isabuhay ang diwa ng EDSA! Sumama sa Pebrero 25!

Feel the halloween spirit once again and reminisce about AF's Meriendahan held last October 25, 2025, where a night of food, laughter, and chaos was shared among apps, mems, and alumni. Dressed as their favorite character with their chosen side, their true nature and personality shone bright under the dark sky. It was truly a night to remember for us all. πŸ₯‚βœ¨

| The UP Architecture Forum, together with UPD STEM organizations, is organizing relief operations in response to the devastating impact of . Donation and volunteer channels are open.

For IN-KIND donations, we are accepting canned goods, bottled water, instant noodles, toiletries, clothes, blankets, and plastic bags for repacking.
