The DOST-FNRI, in collaboration with the DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI), held the two-day training โ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐: ๐๐๐ ๐, ๐ฅ๐๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ณ๐น๐ผ๐๐โ on July 28-29, 2026.
The two-day training forms part of the capacity-building activities under the project โIntegrating AI Technology in Philippine Food Composition Table (PhilFCT) Database: A Tool for Nutrition Assessment and Food Science Advancement,โ implemented by the DOST-FNRI under the Advancing Computing, Analytics, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (ACABAI-PH) Program led by DOST-ASTI.
The training combined lectures and hands-on activities to strengthen participantsโ understanding of modern AI systems and their application using trusted and well-managed data. It also equipped the DOST-FNRI team with practical knowledge in building AI workflows, managing datasets, and addressing common challenges in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based systems.
The activity supports DOST-FNRIโs efforts to modernize the Philippine Food Composition Table (PhilFCT) through AI, helping improve data gathering, processing, quality checking, and management for nutrition assessment and food science research.
