The campaign was spearheaded by dedicated youth leaders and advocates, with inspiring messages from KKDAT President Nova Mi Bacalso, KKDAT Provincial President Hon. Kim Valeri A. Tampon, and Provincial Vice President Jomarie Pregoner. The activity was conducted under the supervision of PMSg. Jestoni Ariston (KKDAT Focal Person) and Ma’am Sarah Faith A. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the SK Councils of each barangay for their active participation and support, led by Hon. Christine Joy Jopia and Hon. Desiree Jade Panugan, whose leadership helped make this initiative meaningful and impactful.

In light of the recent post circulating on the Dinagat Buy and Sell Facebook group alleging youth involvement in illegal drugs within the Municipality of San Jose, we deem it necessary to clarify the matter and present the verified facts.

First, there is no official data or report indicating that illegal drugs are rampant in San Jose. On the contrary, most of our barangays are already classified as drug-cleared based on formal assessments and validations conducted through the proper government channels.

Current PDEA and PNP records further show that the majority of drug users apprehended or monitored in the province originate from areas outside the Dinagat Islands, not from the Municipality of San Jose.

As of this time, an investigation regarding the said online post is actively ongoing in coordination with the San Jose Municipal Police Station and the Dinagat Islands Police Provincial Office. Rest assured that the matter is being handled with urgency, professionalism, and transparency.

The Municipal Peace and Order and Anti-Illegal Drug Council (MPOC & MADAC) continues to strengthen its programs under the whole-of-nation approach to ensure the complete eradication of illegal drugs and drug-related activities in our municipality.

Likewise, the SK Federation of San Jose and the Office of Hon. Kim Valeri A. Tampon, Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order, Police Matters, and Public Safety, are intensifying youth-centered anti-drug campaigns to support the municipality’s goal of achieving and maintaining a Drug-Cleared Municipality status.

We call on the public to remain vigilant and responsible. If any resident witnesses activities that may threaten public safety, we strongly encourage the filing of a formal complaint or direct coordination with the Office of SB Kim Valeri A. Tampon, the Sangguniang Bayan, or through the official Office of the Mayor hotline.

β€œIF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. REPORT IT NOW.”

Together, let us safeguard the peace, safety, and well-being of our beloved Municipality of San Jose.

HON. KIM VALERI A. TAMPON
SK Federated President - Municipality of San Jose
Ex-Officio SB Member
Chairperson, Committee on Peace and Order, Police Matters and Public Safety
