Today marks the first step of barangay digitlization by Introducing the Electronic Budget System for barangay.

The sytem which we named as e-Budget for Barangay aimed to replace manual budget preparation by using digital tool to make budget preparation faster, ensure accurate calculations and promote budget transparency.

Today's e-budget tutorial is attended by our Barangay Treasurers who are thrilled to use the system in thier 2027 Barangay Budget.

The Municipal Budget Office, together with Barangay Treasurers Barangay Secretaries attended the 3-day Seminar on Barangay Budgeting Manual 2026 Edition.

The training was facilitated by the Association of Local Budget Officers in Region 3 and guided by the budget analysts and technical experts from the Department of Budget and Management RO3.

This seminar focuses on the budget cycle guidelines and aims to enhance public finacial management in barangays.

During the Executive Committee meeting held today, April 15, 2026, the Municipal Budget Officer Mayet Walican Tolentino addressed the ongoing fuel crisis which has seen prices reach up to Php147 pesos per liter.

To combat this rising cost, several cost cutting and mitigation measure were proposed and implemented.

Among the suggested interventions are
1. Reduction of non-essential MOO Expenses. Specifically targting Traveling,Training conventions and celebrations.
2. Focus on essentials services such as healrh and social services and prioritizing the implementation of programs and activities of the DAMA Agenda
