𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲: On 28 March to 05 April 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Air Station (CGAS) Aurora supported Byaheng Ayos: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2026 through intensified safety operations within their Area of Responsibility ensuring the safety and security of beachgoers during the peak summer season.

As part of the operation, AirSta Aurora deployed its Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) to conduct aerial monitoring of coastal areas. The UAS team provided an eye from the sky to the beaches of Sabang in Baler, Mijares Lobbot and Dinadiawan in Dipaculao. The drone provided real-time surveillance allowing personnel to effectively observe crowd density, identify potential hazards and enhance overall situational awareness along the shoreline. This initiative significantly strengthened the station’s capability to safeguard the public and respond promptly to any developing situation.

The operation was conducted in coordination with Coast Guard Station Aurora/Coast Guard Sub-Station Baler/ Coast Guard Sub-Station Dipaculao, MMDRMO Station, Tourism Assistance Center and other concerned agencies highlighting a unified effort to maintain safety and order in popular beach destinations. The visible presence and proactive measures of AirSta Aurora personnel contributed to building public confidence and ensuring a safe environment for all.

Certificates of commendation were presented by the Local Government Unit of Dipaculao through Municipal Mayor Danilo A. Tolentino during the culmination of the activity. On behalf of the Air Station, 𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗢 𝗣𝗖𝗚 accepted the certificate as a testament to their unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the maritime environment.

PCG INAUGURATES THE FIRST AVIATION TRAINING FACILITY IN AURORA

Witness the highlights of the Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony of the newly constructed Aviation Training Facility of the Philippine Coast Guard. This achievement is made possible through the initiative of the Officers and Men of Air Station Aurora of the Coast Guard Aviation Command, who tirelessly dedicated their time, skills, and unwavering commitment to bringing this vision to life. Their steadfast devotion reflects the highest ideals of service, professionalism, and unity within the Coast Guard Aviation Command.

This facility stands not only as an infrastructure milestone, but as a testament to what can be accomplished when passion, teamwork, and purpose come together in pursuit of a shared mission. It will serve as a training ground for future aviators, a symbol of progress for the Command, and a lasting legacy for the men and women who made it possible.

𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲: On 15 January 2026, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Aurora District Engineering Office has recently started a series of final inspection of the newly constructed Aviation Training Facility of the CG Aviation Command at Air Station Aurora.

During the visit, DPWH Officials and technical staff walked through the entire facility alongside Coast Guard officials of the Air Station, to verify completed works and ensure that all finishing touches meet the highest standards of quality and durability. Specific attention was given to structural integrity, accessibility provisions, electrical and safety features required for aviation training operations.

With the completion of the final inspection, preparations are now underway to ensure the new building is ready for its inauguration subsequently becomes fully operational and ready to support the Philippine Coast Guard’s training and mission readiness needs.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: On 05 January 2026, The Municipality of Dipaculao officially ushered in the year 2026 with its Traditional Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Grounds under the leadership of the Office of the Municipal Mayor. This meaningful gathering marked the 1st Monday out of 52 Mondays of the year, symbolizing a new beginning filled with hope renewed strength and strengthened commitment to public service.

During the ceremony, ENS REDEMPTOR M WENCESLAO PCG, on behalf of the Air Station- Aurora personnel, expressed his gratitude for being part of the flag-raising activity and shared that he was thankful with the opportunity to formally introduced himself to the officials and employees of the Municipality of Dipaculao. This highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation, unity and shared commitment to public service and community safety.

Subsequently, the newly assigned aviators formally paid a courtesy call to Municipal MAYOR DANILO A TOLENTINO, expressing their sincere appreciation for the invaluable support and cooperation of the Local Chief Executive.

Finally, the delegation likewise conducted courtesy calls to DPWH Architect Arch. Neil Dexter P. Tolentino, the Project Engineer of the on going condstruction of the Aviation Training Facility, and Engr. Joseph Quinday, OIC–TSD Manager, AURELCO, to strengthen coordination and convey their appreciation for the continued support of their respective offices.

𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲: On 27 December 2025, Coast Guard Air Station Aurora held a Turnover Ceremony and Reception Rites for its newly designated officers. This ongoing personnel rotation, in accordance with PCG regulations and the CGAvCom Standard Operating Procedures, supports the continuous development of aviators while strengthening the organization through sustained professional growth and a dynamic working environment.

Additionally, ENS GHONEL MARK A ROOT PCG and ENS KENNETH EDUARDO C HERNANDO PCG were respectively replaced by ENS REDEMPTOR WENCESLAO PCG. Likewise, ENS KENNETH EDUARDO C HERNANDO PCG , PO2 Gilbert B Angat PCG, and PO2 Bernie L Batoon PCG will returned to Headquarters CGAvCom, while ENS GHONEL MARK A ROOT PCG will be assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Zamboanga. The former members of “Centinela” were reassigned to their respective stations and units, where they will continue performing their respective duties. Meanwhile, ENS REDEMPTOR WENCESLAO PCG assumes the role with a commitment to sustain and build upon the accomplishments of his predecessors, reflecting continued development and embracing new challenges in his new assignment.

The reception rites following the ceremony serve as a nice touch, emphasizing the continuation of tradition and reinforcing the unit's values. These rites help to strengthen the sense of belonging and unity within AirSta Aurora, setting a positive tone for both the incoming and outgoing personnel.

move forward from 2025 into 2026, the near completion of its Aviation Training Facility stands as a strong symbol of progress, readiness and commitment to excellence. As of January 1, 2026, the facility is in its final stages of completion, reflecting the Command’s dedication to timely infrastructure development in support of its growing aviation mission.

With construction works substantially completed, final touches and site preparations are ongoing to ensure the facility is fully operational in the early months of 2026. The timely progress of this project as the new year begins highlights the Coast Guard Aviation Command’s forward momentum and strategic vision. Entering 2026, the near completion of the Aviation Training Facility reinforces the organization’s commitment to building a future-ready aviation force prepared to meet emerging challenges and safeguard lives at sea and in the air.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dipaculao conducted the 4th Quarter Joint Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), and the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC), led by Municipal Mayor Danilo A. Tolentino. Today, 15 December 2025, at the Mayor’s Conference Hall, Municipality of Dipaculao.

Additionally, CG Air Station Aurora participated in the said activity by presenting its roles and functions, emphasizing the importance of the air station in conducting aerial surveillance, search and rescue operations.. Likewise, this air station supports the transportation of essential supplies, thereby enhancing the reach and effectiveness of local enforcement efforts.

Thus, the activity was also attended by other local government agencies to include, the Philippine Army, (PA) , Philippine National Police (PNP)
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO). Through the sharing of best practices and collaborative discussions, the participants strengthened inter-agency coordination and reinforced a comprehensive, unified approach to maintaining peace and order within the municipality.

The engagement underscored the commitment of CGAS Aurora,
and local agencies to fostering a secure and harmonious environment for all citizens.
