Most people panic when they see fireโฆ but do you know what type of fire it is?
Not all fires are the same โ and knowing whatโs burning can make the difference between stopping it safely or making it worse.
Hereโs what every household, student, and firefighter should remember:
๐ฉ Class A โ Ash
Burns solid materials like wood, paper, and cloth.
๐ Clue: These leave ash when burned.
๐ฅ Class B โ Boil
Involves flammable liquids such as gasoline, paint, or oil.
๐ Clue: These boil when heated. Never use water โ it can spread the flames!
๐ฆ Class C โ Current
Caused by electrical sources โ outlets, cords, or appliances.
๐ Clue: C is for Current โ turn off the power first before using the extinguisher.
๐จ Class D โ Dent
Fires from burning metals like magnesium or sodium โ extremely intense.
