Since assuming office, Mayor Uy has tirelessly worked towards the holistic development of Dipolog City, leveraging on innovative approaches to governance to uplift the lives of its residents and enhance the city's standing on both regional and national platforms. Under Mayor Uy's dynamic leadership, Dipolog City has witnessed an era of transformative growth and prosperity. His emphasis on sustainable urban development, infrastructure enhancement, and socio-economic empowerment initiatives has not only spurred economic vitality but has also fostered a vibrant and inclusive community fabric. Mayor Uy's administration has been marked by a series of notable achievements, ranging from advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and environmental conservation to the implementation of pioneering programs aimed at poverty alleviation, resilience-building and youth empowerment. His unwavering commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability has earned Dipolog City recognition as a model of effective governance and sustainable development. Mayor Darel is also a Reserve Officer of the Philippine Army and is currently the Battalion Commander of the 902nd Zamboanga del Norte Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion. He was conferred the Military Merit Award for his leadership in ensuring peace and order efforts in the community during the pandemic. He was also designated by the DOH and DILG as Region IX’s Disiplina Muna Ambassador. Magpadayon kita sa paghimo og mga programa nga mag-abli og mas daghang oportunidad ug magdala og mas hayag nga kaugmaon alang sa matag Zanortehanon.
