July 9, 2026 – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A CALABARZON, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Quezon, is currently conducting SMART BAYANIHAN: Empowering MSMEs Through Productivity, Green and Digital Innovations in celebration of the 2026 MSME Week at St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center, Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City.
DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa, CESO IV, delivers the opening message, emphasizing the importance of enhancing productivity, embracing digital innovation, and adopting sustainable business practices to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), specifically Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) establishments.
The whole-day training is designed to equip MSMEs with practical knowledge on productivity improvement and digital transformation through two major components: the ISTIV Bayanihan Training Module, which focuses on values-driven work habits, business organization, stock control, sound financial practices, and basic concepts on green practices; and SMART Productivity for MSMEs, which highlights digital readiness, workforce development, and innovation planning.
The morning session is being facilitated by Mr. Gener C. Rivera, Information Technology Officer I and Head Trainer for Productivity of RTWPB IV-A, covering the ISTIV Bayanihan Training and Basic Concepts on Green Practices. In the afternoon, participants will continue with discussions on SMART Productivity: Transforming MSMEs Through Digital Innovation, followed by a workshop and action planning session.
Meanwhile, Mr. Edgardo A. Avila Jr., Labor and Employment Officer III and Productivity Trainer of RTWPB IV-A, will present the agency's programs and share important updates and reminders on RTWPB productivity initiatives.
The activity forms part of the continuing partnership between DTI Quezon and RTWPB CALABARZON to empower MSMEs by promoting productivity enhancement, green practices, and digital innovation, enabling local enterprises to become more resilient, competitive, and future-ready.
