PNP ARRESTS FIVE REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS FACING SEXUAL OFFENSE-RELATED CASES

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded another significant accomplishment in its continuing effort to uphold public safety and support the administration of justice following the successful arrest of five Regional Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in separate operations conducted on July 11, 2026, across different parts of the country.

The arrests included individuals ranked among the top wanted persons in their respective regions, with one listed as Rank No. 4 Regional Level in Region 4B (MIMAROPA), another as Rank No. 6 Regional Level in Region 7 (Central Visayas), Rank No. 5 Regional Level in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Rank No. 4 Regional Level in Region 11 (Davao Region), and Rank No. 9 Regional Level in Region 12 (Soccsksargen).

In Palawan, police personnel from the Rizal Municipal Police Station, together with other supporting units, arrested a 20-year-old fisherman known by the alias “Alcaber” who was listed as a Regional Most Wanted Person Rank No. 4. The operation was carried out through the implementation of a warrant of arrest issued by the court in Brooke’s Point, Palawan, in connection with three counts of violation of the Anti-R**e Law, with no bail recommended.

Meanwhile, authorities in Davao Occidental apprehended a Regional Most Wanted Person Rank No. 4 in Jose Abad Santos through the joint efforts of local police and supporting units. The arrested individual is facing a warrant of arrest related to a case of Qualified R**e of a Minor, with no bail recommended.

In Sultan Kudarat, law enforcement personnel arrested alias “Tatang Rommel,” 52, a farmer and Regional Most Wanted Person Rank No. 9, during an operation led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Field Unit. The arrest was made through a warrant of arrest for Qualified R**e, with no bail recommended.

In Bohol, the CIDG Bohol Provincial Field Unit, together with other police units, arrested a 30-year-old man identified as a Regional Most Wanted Person Rank No. 6 in Tagbilaran City. He was apprehended through a warrant of arrest involving five counts of Statutory R**e by Sexual In*******se, with no bail recommended.

In Benguet, police personnel from La Trinidad Municipal Police Station and supporting units arrested a 20-year-old stay-in worker in La Trinidad, who was listed as a Regional Most Wanted Person Rank No. 5. The arrest was made through a warrant of arrest for two counts of Statutory R**e, with no bail recommended.

The operations were conducted in accordance with established legal procedures, with the arrested individuals informed of their constitutional rights and properly turned over to the appropriate police units and courts for further disposition. The PNP continues to ensure that all law enforcement actions are carried out with respect for due process and the rights of every individual.

Chief, PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that the successful arrests reflect the PNP’s sustained commitment to bringing wanted individuals before the proper judicial process while maintaining respect for the rule of law.

“Ang patuloy nating paghahanap at pag-aresto sa mga wanted person ay bahagi ng ating pananagutan sa publiko. Hindi natin pinapayagan na manatiling walang aksyon ang mga kasong nasa proseso ng batas. Kasabay nito, tinitiyak natin na ang bawat operasyon ay isinasagawa nang may paggalang sa karapatan ng lahat at naaayon sa ating mga umiiral na batas,” said PGEN Nartatez Jr.

He added, “Patuloy nating ipapakita na ang PNP ay kumikilos para mapanatili ang kaayusan at seguridad ng ating mga komunidad. Hindi lamang ito tungkol sa pag-aresto, kundi tungkol sa pagtupad sa ating tungkulin na suportahan ang proseso ng hustisya habang pinangangalagaan ang karapatan ng bawat isa.”

PNP SEIZES OVER ₱62.2-MILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL PETROLEUM PRODUCTS IN BATANGAS, 7 APPREHENDED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) intensified its campaign against the illegal trade of petroleum products after authorities intercepted more than ₱62.2 million worth of diesel fuel and a tugboat during an operation in the waters of Batangas.

The operation, conducted from the evening of July 9 until July 10, 2026, was jointly carried out by personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 4A (CIDG RFU4A), the Batangas Provincial Field Unit of CIDG, and the Batangas Maritime Police Station.

The law enforcement operation resulted in the arrest of seven Filipino suspects, all of legal age, who were allegedly involved in the unauthorized retail sale of petroleum products. Authorities recovered a tugboat carrying around 31,199 liters of diesel fuel, five plastic containers containing diesel fuel, and the marked money used during the operation. The total estimated market value of the recovered tugboat and petroleum products reached ₱62,294,027.00.

The arrested individuals and the recovered evidence were placed under the custody of CIDG RFU4A for proper documentation and the filing of appropriate charges, while the recovered tugboat remains under the custody of the Batangas Maritime Police Station.

The successful operation reflects the PNP's sustained efforts to curb illegal economic activities that affect legitimate businesses, public safety, and government revenues. It also supports the direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen law enforcement against organized illegal activities while ensuring that police operations remain lawful, intelligence-driven, and accountable.

The accomplishment likewise advances the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, through coordinated and evidence-based enforcement actions.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for their coordinated efforts and emphasized that the campaign against illegal economic activities will continue across the country.

"Malaki man o maliit ang operasyon, pareho ang mensahe natin—walang puwang ang mga iligal na gawain na nakaaapekto sa kabuhayan ng ating mga mamamayan at sa ekonomiya ng bansa. Patuloy tayong kikilos nang patas, ayon sa batas, at may paggalang sa karapatan ng bawat isa," PGen Nartatez said.
He also reminded the public that community cooperation remains essential in addressing illegal activities.

"Kapag nagtutulungan ang pulisya at ang publiko, mas mabilis nating natutugunan ang mga paglabag sa batas. Ipagpatuloy natin ang pagbibigay ng impormasyon sa tamang awtoridad upang sama-sama nating mapanatili ang kaayusan at kaligtasan ng ating mga komunidad," the Chief PNP added.

PNP MAINTAINS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR MISCONDUCT AS PERSONNEL ARRESTED IN PAGADIAN OPERATION

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to uphold accountability within its ranks after a police personnel was arrested in a checkpoint operation in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur on July 12, 2026, following the recovery of suspected smuggled ci******es from a vehicle.

Based on the initial report, intelligence personnel of the Pagadian City Police Station conducted a checkpoint operation along the National Highway, PNP COMPAC, Tiguma, Pagadian City after receiving information regarding the alleged transport of smuggled cigarette products. The vehicle was intercepted after it attempted to pass through the checkpoint, leading to the discovery of several cigarette reams concealed inside.

Personnel from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) were immediately coordinated with to assist in the inventory and assessment of the recovered items. A total of 251 reams of New Berlin ci******es, with an estimated market value of ₱1.285 million, were documented and secured for proper disposition.

The arrested individual, a male PNP personnel of legal age and currently assigned at Camp Crame, Quezon City, is now under police custody while appropriate procedures are being undertaken in coordination with concerned authorities.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that the PNP remains committed to enforcing the law fairly and ensuring that all personnel are held to the same standards of accountability.

PNP ARRESTS NO. 7 REGIONAL MOST WANTED DRUG PERSONALITY IN RIZAL

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to strengthen its efforts against individuals facing criminal charges as operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Eastern District Field Unit arrested a person listed as a No. 7 Regional Level target under the PNP E-Warrant System in Binangonan, Rizal on July 11, 2026.

Arrested along P. Burgos Street, Barangay Lungsad, Binangonan, Rizal was alias “Noknok,” 28, who was wanted for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 involving possession of dangerous drugs. The operation was carried out through the service of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 68, Binangonan, Rizal.

The PNP emphasized that the operation was conducted following proper procedures, with the use of body-worn cameras and alternative recording devices to promote transparency and accountability. The arrested individual was informed of his constitutional rights in a language he understood before being brought to the appropriate office for documentation and proper disposition.
