Ang misting/fogging usa lamang sa mga interventions aron mapakunhod ang adult mosquitoes sa identified hotspot areas. Dili niini mapatay ang itlog, larvae, ug pupa, mao nga kung naa gihapoy mga breeding sites, magpadayon gihapon ang pagdaghan sa lamok.
๐Ÿ’ก Ang pinaka-epektibong paagi sa pagpugong sa dengue mao ang aktibong partisipasyon sa matag pamilya ug sa tibuok komunidad.

In celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2026, the Municipality of Don Carlos successfully conducted an advocacy program at Kiara National High School, bringing together students, teachers, and community leaders in promoting a drug-free future.

The activity was spearheaded by our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Dante Silverio M. Otara,MD,MPM,MPH, with the full support of our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Ma. Victoria Ontanillas-Pizarro, CPA, and logistical support from our Local Youth Development Officer, Ms. Princess Claire Ecat.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Kiara National High School, the Barangay Kiara Council, and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Kiara for their invaluable partnership and support in making this activity a success.

The program featured a Pledge of Commitment, an informative discussion on drug awareness and prevention, and an Interpretative Painting Contest, empowering our youth to express their commitment to living healthy, productive, and drug-free lives.

Together, let us continue to build stronger communities through education, prevention, and collective action.

The Municipality of Don Carlos proudly participated in the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2026 through a series of meaningful activities held in the month of June.

In partnership with our barangays, government agencies, schools, and community , the municipality conducted information and education campaigns (IEC), advocacy activities, community engagements, and the Pledge of Commitment.

We are calling on everyone to participate in our Municipality-Wide Synchronized Search and Destroy Activity this coming Friday. Together, we can wipe out mosquito breeding sites and stop dengue in its tracks!

Time: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

๐Ÿ›‘ What to do? Remember the 5S Strategy!
1. Search and Destroy โ€“ Empty and scrub flower vases, discard old tires, tin cans, and any containers that hold stagnant water.

2. Self-Protection Measures โ€“ Wear long-sleeved shirts and use mosquito repellents.

3. Seek Early Consultation โ€“ Visit the nearest health center if you or a family member has a fever for more than two days.

4. Say Yes to Fogging โ€“ Support localized fogging only during impending outbreaks.

5. Sustain Hydration โ€“ Drink plenty of water and healthy fluids.

Get your cleaning gears ready, coordinate with your local Barangay officials, and let's spend just two hours to secure a healthier community.

The heat index across many parts of the country continues to rise, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and outdoor workers.

โš ๏ธ COMMON SYMPTOMS OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES:
๐Ÿ”ธ Excessive sweating
๐Ÿ”ธ Dizziness or fainting
๐Ÿ”ธ Headache
๐Ÿ”ธ Muscle cramps
๐Ÿ”ธ Nausea or vomiting
๐Ÿ”ธ Rapid heartbeat
๐Ÿ”ธ Extreme thirst
๐Ÿ”ธ Confusion or loss of consciousness

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ PREVENTIVE MEASURES:
โœ… Drink plenty of water throughout the day
โœ… Avoid direct sun exposure between 10 AM โ€“ 4 PM
โœ… Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing
โœ… Use umbrellas, hats, or cooling towels outdoors
โœ… Stay in shaded or well-ventilated areas
โœ… Avoid strenuous activities during peak heat hours
โœ… Never leave children or pets inside parked vehicles

๐Ÿšจ EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
โ— Move the person to a cool or shaded place immediately
โ— Loosen clothing and apply cool wet cloths or ice packs
โ— Give water only if the person is conscious and alert
โ— Seek medical attention immediately if symptoms worsen

WE now have a regular FOOD HANDLERS TRAINING every Friday, starting at 1:00PM onwards to be conducted at the RHU OPD.

๐Ÿ“Œ REGISTRATION SCHEDULE :
Interested participants may register from Monday - Thursday to secure their slot

๐Ÿ“ŒIMPORTANT POLICY REMINDER :
No Food Handlers Training Certificate, No Issuance of Health Certificate/Health Card.
Attendance to the training is strictly required prior to the issuance of any Health Certificate/Health Card.

๐Ÿ“ŒLIMITED SLOTS ONLY:
Only 20 participants per schedule will be accommodated on a first-come first-serve basis.

๐Ÿ“ŒCALL FOR PARTICIPANTS:
All food handlers who have not yet attended the training are strongly encouraged to register early and comply with this requirement.

๐Ÿ“ŒAPPROVAL:
This schedule and policy have been approved by Dr. Dante Silverio M. Otara, our Municipal Health Officer.

We are thrilled to announce the massive success of our Food Handlers Training for Batch 2, held yesterday, April 27, 2026, at the Barangay Don Carlos Norte Covered Court!

What started with a target of 139 participants turned into 255 dedicated food handlers participants! This incredible 83% increase over our goal shows the strong commitment of our local vendors and establishments to food safety and public health.

Nagpadayon ang atong Health and Wellness Program para sa tanang miyembro sa Hypertensive and Diabetic Club sa atong 29 ka barangay!

Tumong sa atong lokal nga kagamhanan, pinaagi sa Municipal Health Office, nga masiguro nga kamo himsog ug layo sa komplikasyon sa high blood ug diabetes.

Unsa ang mga serbisyo nga inyong makuha?
โœ… Health Education Awareness โ€“ Pagpasabut kon unsaon ang saktong pag-atiman sa lawas, saktong pagkaon, ug paglikay sa sakit.
โœ… Libre nga Blood Chemistry โ€“ Adtoan kamo sa inyong mga barangay para sa libreng laboratory aron masusi ang inyong blood sugar, cholesterol, creatinine(para sa kidney),ug SGPT (para sa liver).
